Speak of the devil.
>> So much for the I like Carly crew around here <<
Heh. Nice timing. Carly being Carly again.
It's not just some misguided FReepers drinking the "Carly is a great conservative" kool-aid, there's also a number of Tea Party activists and radio talk show hosts. They basically argue that they didn't care for her c. 2008-2010 when she was a McCain adviser and GOP establishment candidate for Senate, but she's become "much more conservative" since then and "embraced Tea Party values". Sorry, not seeing it. Apparently she's given some anti-Hillary speeches so now they think she's a Reagan clone.
Worse is the conservative worship for Jeannie Pirro. She was a terribly embarrassing RINO who rightfully dropped out of a Senate primary to run against Hillary when her past kept haunting her. Now a bunch of conservaitves on the internet have orgasms whenever she speaks on TV and threatens to "take down Obama". And Pirro (pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage, etc.) is certainly to the left of Fiorina. But Pirro's not running for office again, so her actual beliefs on government policy likely won't be scrutinized and she'll continue to give "conservative" soundbites on TV that useful idiots have orgasms over.
In any case, I can't see Fiorina lasting long in the GOP presidential primaries. The big problem is if any Republican is stupid enough to put her on the ticket because the mainstream media keeps playing up the idea. I think Bush pretty much appointed Colin Powell Secretary of State because the media kept fantasizing about how awesome it would be to have Powell as a top-ranking official in a Republican administration, and worked for years to make it a reality. Puke.
