It's tough working for the government ... but somebody's gotta do it!
And you thought taking a family of 4 to an MLB game was pricey...
Plus beers are $10 there now. But he never bought me one, so I'm not a happy camper.
That is a lot of plankton
This could be a good thread......
“..yeah, gimme 13 of those cheese pizzas and a diet coke please...”
Or krill.
Here, use my government credit card. It’s not like it’s real money.
I sure hope it was pizza. The people in the seats next to him kept disappearing...
No wonder he never loses any weight.
Sadly, this will get more traction in the LSM than Charitygate.
New Jersey governor Chris Christie is a big football fan, but he is also apparently a big fan of snacks at football stadiums. According to New Jersey Watchdog, Christie reportedly spent over $82,000 of taxpayer money on concessions at MetLife Stadium.
Christie paid for food and drinks at MetLife with a debit card 58 times over the 2010 and 2011 NFL seasons, accruing a bill of $82,594. That means he spent an average of nearly $1,500 on food and drinks every time he attended a football game.
The money came from Christie's state allowance, a $95,000 sum he's given on a quarterly basis to be "used for official receptions on behalf of the state, the operation of an official residence, for other expenses." Hot dogs and beers obviously qualify as "other expenses."
“That means he spent an average of nearly $1,500 on food and drinks every time he attended a football game.”
And he looks as though all of it went down his pie hole!
Anybody who has paid for food at box section at any stadium knows this is not unusual...
Especially the drink part...
This is an actually a non-story, but the Jeb Bush smear team in in turbo mode...
Chris Christie= Fat Bastard (from Austin Powers)
I’m no fan of Christie. He’s given that stipend to court people who may do business with or in his state.
He wines and dines them, and some of them create jobs and move businesses to the state.
To people like me, it’s a lot of money. If he brings in people who hire people in his state, generate revenue for the state, and expand the tax base, he’s doing no more than his job.
Am I every going to vote for the guy for rat-catcher? No. That doesn’t mean that some of this reporting isn’t just idiotic tripe.
They made huge charge of impropriety regarding road closures too. What was the outcome of that? Oh, he wasn’t guilty after all.
Someone thinks he’s running for office again and wants to make sure he can’t. Sort of makes you wonder who is afraid of him, a Democrat or a Republican.
This is idiotic IMO.
