Hundreds of people, including a teacher from Sandy Hook Elementary School, marched across the Brooklyn Bridge Saturday to call for better gun control.
The group Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America and other supporters marched across the Bridge to City Hall.
They say gun violence kills an average of more than 80 people across the country each day- and they want toughter laws on firearms.
"We have to keep fighting. We have to get safer gun laws for our children," one marcher said.
"Thirty thousand people a year are killed by guns in this country. It's outrageous. If it were a disease, we'd have all kinds of teams investigating why it happened and how," another marcher said.
One of the teachers from the Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Connecticut attended. It was in December 2012 that gunman Adam Lanza killed 20 children and six adults there.
This is the third year Moms Demand Action is hosting the march.
“Thirty thousand people a year are killed by guns in this country. It’s outrageous.///
It’s true. I’ve seen it!! Guns just shooting themselves at people. Perhaps it’s bad parenting, not being cleaned, cannon envy, but guns are going crazy in this country, i tell ya!!! /s
BTW, the Romans were pretty good at killing without guns. So were the Hutus and the Tutsis, for a much more recent example.
The only idiots following NY gun laws are people who are afraid of jail, like me
You think gun control makes us safer? I’ve got a bridge in Brooklyn...
I read on another thread a woman beat a guy to death with a baseball bat. How come baseball isn’t banned?
Or wood? Couldn’t have made that damned bat without it.
Let’s just reach as ridiculous conclusions as possible.
Why protest in a city with some of the most restrictive gun laws in the country? Why not protest in the most Second Amendment friendly states?

If there were that many protesters, and knowing in general that a large portion of Americans lawfully own at least one firearm, I’m a bettin’ man that there’s a few hypocrites in that crowd. I’m just saying.
Bridge over water.
Boats in water, oops.
Water full of guns.
You don’t understand control. They don’t want YOU to have a gun. They can have one.

What did the marchers have to say about the community and father that neglected Lanza’s mental illness?
So, it’s my understanding that even Dianne Feinstein owns a firearm. So at the end of the day, if these gun grabbers got their way, Feinstein and these folks would still be packing. They know that as long as we possess arms, they know we won’t let them infringe on our liberties, right?
Liberal philosophy: Control the tool, not the criminals.
What’s next?
Are they going to take forks and spoons away from overeaters?
Are they going to take Air Force Two away from Moochie Obama?
***HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE***
From pictures, it looked like fewer than a hundred to me.
Another view of the same event:

Whaddawee want?
Better aim!
Whendo we wantit?
When we shoot!
Small turnout. And as you noted, they demonstrated in a community that already has very strict gun laws in place. Facts interfere with their evil cause. They’re control freaks. It’s sick that they’re using a child as an object to push their agenda.
The irony of them marching for this in NYC escapes them.
FBI statistics..... More people are killed with hammers every year than with semi-automatic rifles (”assault weapons” as the gun-grabbing libs would call them).
I’m tired of these Sandy Hookers.
