I know this will come as a shock to a lot of you. But the blowhard Bill OReilly can actually be an idiot when he longs for strange new respect. Such is the case with how he dealt with Pam Geller and the Garland, TX terrorist attack. Via the Daily Caller:
The dead men deserved what they got, OReilly said. But the incident was ignited by a contest featuring cartoons of the prophet Mohammed. Any depiction of that Islamic icon is a sin in the Muslim world.
Many Americans believe the provocation was legitimate under freedom of speech, but that is not the issue, the host contended. No one I know favors curtailing speech in this case. The real issue is whether the exposition was the right thing to do.
See the problem here? The incident was not ignited by a contest any more than the Benghazi attack was caused by a video. The contest was privately sponsored and by invitation only. The two yahoos who ended up on the morgue slab ignited the incident by driving over a thousand miles to attack people who made them mad. The only issue here is curtailing free speech because if, Heaven forfend, Bill OReilly gets in the business of deciding if something is the right thing to do then we are really screwed. In all seriousness, if the right thing to do standard was in force, does OReilly think he wouldnt be forced off the air by the very people hes fellating right now?

I think he thinks he’s still doing Entertainment Tonight.
Not sure what’s so entertaining about snobs pursuing other snobs for ratings..
Im sorry. I was referring to The Una-Bomber not Bill O Really...
I may not have made that very clear
In this country we admire people, if we admire virtue, who are, or at least act as, virtuous people. And that admiration brings many positive returns
It is inspiring, helps us to raise our children, helps us to choose to become better
We certainly do not admire virtue if it comes to a person not out of choice but from some rule of oppression or other threat to act virtuously by some arbitrary standard.
I wouldn’t make fun of another’s religion even if it is a cult, but that’s a choice I make
We didn’t read mad magazine whenever were kids because my dad bought it one Sunday while getting the Sunday times read it and said no that’s not good humor. It’s offensive
But he would never consider working toward putting them out of business
When men and women in this country choose to be good it’s because tegu choose it
Geller keeps that in focus (union tended but she wouldn’t mind I think)
This combat vet is sick to dizziness at the kow towing
Bill O’Reilly is way past retirement age. 15 years ago, he opened a closed door to “fair and balanced” reporting. In the past few years, he has joined those on the other side of that door.
Captain Obvious.....calling Captain Obvious.....
Per Rush Limbaugh: “ Someody has to say it. He’s Ted Baxter.”
Anyone insulted by O’Really’s speech, shoot his ass. He’ll understand. So will his friend Juan...who needs the same “standard” of respectful free speech applied to him. : )
All’s fair in love and war. The elite standing up for jihadists against the constitution are at war with American-Americans. Sometimes they get shot. But they made it happen by their improper speech.
Bill O Reilly needs more than a dose of Sunday School!
Yeah, all Christians heard about “piss Christ” was “be tolerant of art.” F’ em. Liars.
Always has been, always will be. I cannot understand why his ratings are so high.
Those rules should only apply to members of that faith. Muslims can believe all they want about not drawing pictures of Mohammed the Goat Buggerer. People of other faiths or no faiths are not bound in the least by the rules Muslims set on themselves.
Catholics can tell other Catholics they're going to hell for missing Sunday. Baptists and Methodists can tell other Baptists and Methodists they're going to hell for dancing on Sunday. Unitarians can tell other Unitarians they're going to hell for ..............oh, never mind. Those rules only apply to the people of the faiths who set those rules. Apparently Muslims, leftists, and some "conservatives" fail to understand those rules.
The members of a particular faith who seek to punish members of another faith for violating a rule of their faith that does not involve harming people physically are liable to either stiff prison sentences or outright banning of their screwball religion.
Wonder what the first clue was that he was an idiot? I have not watched that fool in over 10 plus years. What a fool.
Ted Baxter strikes again lol
According to him, he has two harvard degrees.I’m sure the folks at harvard are proud
Gee, what gave it away?
Yes, we’ve known he was an idiot for years and years.
58 posts and not one picture of Ted Baxter. We’re slipping, people.
Few things are worse than a gibbering moron who thinks he’s a genius.
That is true and it describes the idiot perfectly.
