GOP Presidential hopeful and conservative stalwart Sen. Ted Cruz didn’t even have to say anything intelligible to refute the gotcha journalism attempts made by reporter Mark Halperin.
Halperin jabs Cruz – not even subtly, I might add – on whether he is Hispanic enough; Cuban enough.
This is how low the mainstream media is these days. They don’t want conservatives anywhere near political office, and they don’t even try to hide it.
Journalists are supposed to be like educators. You give us the facts, we come to our own conclusion. You’re not supposed to be swaying your audience one way or the other.
I’d say it’s pretty fair to assume that Halperin isn’t “Fair & Balanced.”

I don’t know which is more transparent, the press or the supporters of supposed Conservatives who lie.

The trouble being that media is in control and their methods largely achieve their ends. The American electorate elected a negro community organizer from Chicago as President with massive media assistance. Teddy wins by staying calm, not overexplaining, not overreacting. Halprin looks ridiculous because he asks all these banal off topic questions with a serious ‘Walter Cronkite” demeanor. Cruz is almost patronizing in his patience. Good self control Cruz, when somebody else would have blown a gasket. Don’t waste your anger on such small potatoes.
It was like watching me try to play one on one with Michael Jordan. Cruz was barely able to not laugh at his juvenile attack attempts.
Imagine a white MSM reporter insultingly grilling a black about if he’s authentically black enough, including questions about soul food and music.
It must anger these leftie “reporters” no end that Cruz is unfailingly polite even as they pepper him with moronic, insulting questions.
It has to lie to try to get it's point across.

I am very impressed with the temperament and composure that Cruz has shown so far on the national stage. He’s a leader who is not going to get rattled or paralyzed into inaction by adversity. We need somebody like this in the White House.

Halperin is getting slapped around pretty good on twitter.Halperin has earned the scorn he is receiving. That was an incredibly petty and insulting line of questioning. Cruz handled it well with more grace and patience than Halperin deserved.
Ruben Navarrette at Hot Air made a good point in his response to Halperin's offensive questions for Cruz.
You know who, by their own admission, don’t speak espanol well? Housing Secretary Julian Castro and his twin brother, Rep. Joaquin Castro, D-Texas, both friends of mine. You could bet Halperin would never put those questions to the Castros because, as Democrats, they’re assumed to be closer to the masses than Cruz is.
