NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Oh, never mind. As much as find higher temps uncomfortable, it is better for the human race since it keeps folks from freezing to death and makes crop growing easier. Hey warmunists, STFU. Again, the questions:

1. Define the “correct” temperature range for the planet.

2. Define the “correct” humidity range for the planet.

3. Define the “correct” mean sea level for the planet’

4. Define the “correct” amount of precipitation for the planet.

5. Define the “correct” makeup of the atmosphere.

6. Define the “correct” amount of sea ice at the N/S poles.

7. Define/explain past glaciation and subsequent warming without any input from humans.

I remember all the ‘scientific’ papers from the 70’s predicting global cooling. I was 10, but remember fearing an ice age. In just 40 years - we’ve gone from global cooling to warming? Hardly within the scope of the hundreds of years it really takes for the earth’s climate to change.

Lysenkoism: the manipulation or distortion of the scientific process as a way to reach a predetermined conclusion as dictated by an ideological bias, often related to social or political objectives.http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2009/11/the_ghost_of_lysenko.html

The big lie continues.

If global warming is man’s fault, CNN would headline every story about Obama’s trips by showing how much carbon be burned.

I figured on his last TAXPAYER PAID trip, Valerie’s man child burned more fossil fuel in two or three days than I will burn in my car over four or five years.

Shove it, CNN.

> The 10 warmest years on record have occurred in the past 17 years.

In other words, almost half the warmest years happened before then. And even then there wouldn't be as many relatively warm years if the 1930s temperature record hadn't been lowered by "corrections."

More propaganda?

Well, now...

It seems ‘global warming’, aka ‘climate change’ is a good thing: Reduced storms, reduced hurricanes and, best of all:

Bringing the hurt to millions of liberals in large urban centers, particularly one state in general.

Sounds like a gift from above, from one perspective...

Dear CNN. It is to be referred to as “manmade catastrophic climate change.” Please make a note of it.

NEVER ARGUE WITH CRAZY PEOPLE.......
enough evidence shows the numbers are biased, fudged, falsified and outright lies... just like SOCIAL ENGINEERING THAT HAS WASTED $55 TRILLION from the USSA economy RESULTING IN more POVERTY AND more RACISM...
the money spent on CLIMATE RESEARCH is looking for a predetermined result...THOSE WHO GO AGAINST THE FLOW DONT GET ANY MONEY.... so climate scientists are now in the group with the WElFARE RECIPIENTS.... on the DOLE.......

Hahahahahaha! We are under a winter storm warning out here in southeast Wyoming. Calling for around 10 inches of snow and high winds...usually that means blizzard.

Thankful for global warming, otherwise we might have 20 inches of snow /s.

Global warming/climate change....follow the money. That’s what it’s all about.

As a meteorologist of 28 years, I always love these threads on globull warming. I see many FReepers making the same sort of errors the warmingistas make: They assume their local climate represents that of the globe ("we had a cold winter...it snowed here last night"....etc), much in the same way the AGW advocates assume the current climate (or the temp in 1979) is what the "average" is SUPPOSED to be. Both are errors.

Just because the US had a cold winter (well, the eastern part) and just because there are cold snaps does not represent the climate across the globe...just like the above normal temps in Spain and eastern Europe doesn't represent YOUR climate. It's a fallacy to argue that point.

It's also not open for discussion that the long term climate of the Earth is slowly warming. There will be bumps and dips here and there (that will last 20-30 years) but the climate is warming. It makes everyone look foolish when we argue otherwise.

HOWEVER (BIG ALL CAPS YELLING)...the REASONS are pretty simple: We are coming out of a little ice age (LIA) and well...duh...that's what happens when you come out of a lia event...you warm. If we set the bar for "average" at the lowest level (like the AGW crowd has done) then EVERYTHING will be warmer than our average. Climate is not a static thing...all climate is is an average of extremes and means...long and short term. CO2 has NOTHING to do with it.

BUT...some of the warming we see (in the modern records) IS caused by man. It's called the heat island effect. It's the one VERY LOGICAL conclusion that the AGW crowd wont address ( and some anti-AGW people don't take into account)...that the temperature record does show in increase...not because of CO2....but because of concrete and asphalt.

When you have an observing sight (for official weather obs) in the same place for 50 years...and when that observation site USED to be surrounded by miles and miles of trees...but is now surrounded by miles and miles or roads and buildings (Bush IAH in Houston is a prime example, as is Hobby-KHOU)...then it stands to reason your temps will increase over time...especially the overnight lows (because of the shortwave/longwave radiation issue). Anyone of us can see this on a microscale by walking from our lawn to our driveway at noon on a clear summer day. Where would you rather stand?

So that's global warming in a nut-shell. The Earth is warming because we are coming out of an ice age (and probably headed back to another one this century if solar predictions are right)...and because of urbanization. The temp increases are real (somewhat) but it's not because of CO2...it's concrete...and its also a loss of observations points across the northern latitudes because the cold war ended (but that another discussion). The Earth is a big place...and just because your corner of it was cold....doesn't mean everyone's was...and really isn't a very valid debate point.

Be wise in combating the AGW fiends...not simple.
