NBC Terrorism Analyst Evan Kohlmann compared the Mohammed Art Exhibit and Contest and Pamela Gellers actions to hate crimes, lighting the Reichstag on fire and then complaining that your fingers got singed, and accused her of infringing on other peoples free speech rights on Wednesdays Hardball.

> There going to kill you too, Evan. Whether you draw Muhammad or not, they are going to kill you too.
After they bend him over. Of course they don’t know that ‘s what he really wants...
So you do side with NBC.
It is noble to cry fire in a burning building.
Pray America is waking
Who knew “free speech” needed saving? You, Ken?
He's got a point. Those two terrorist thugs wanted to express their political views by murdering cartoonists. They were such losers that they got outgunned by a man with a pistol (okay, not just any armed man, it was a Texan with a pistol, but it's still a pathetic loss for men with rifles and body armor). Pamela's people prevented these wannabe murderers from expressing their hate through the violence they had planned. Their preferred form of expression was violence against patriotic Christian conservatives, which is the one form of expression that liberals always want to see protected.
A few years ago, Glenn Beck tried to make a similar point. He made “Obama in pee pee” which was a picture of Obama in beer and tried to sell it on Ebay. They’ve had plenty of offensive stuff before. They refused. Their excuse was they don’t sell body parts (urine), but it was actually beer.
His point was brilliant I thought. He was pointing out the hypocrisy.
Um, she didn't get burned, but the attempted arsonists are roasting as we speak...
From Wikipedia: National Socialist Party of America v. Village of Skokie
Purpose of the Case
In 1977 Frank Collin, the leader of National Socialist Party of America, announced the party's intention to march through Skokie, Illinois. In the predominantly Jewish community, one in six residents was a Holocaust survivor. Originally, the NSPA had planned a political rally in Marquette Park in Chicago; however the Chicago authorities blocked these plans by requiring the NSPA to post a public safety insurance bond and by banning political demonstrations in Marquette Park.
On behalf of the NSPA, the ACLU challenged the injunction issued by the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois that prohibited marchers at the proposed Skokie rally from wearing Nazi uniforms or displaying swastikas. The ACLU was represented by civil rights attorney Burton Joseph. The challengers argued that the injunction violated the First Amendment rights of the marchers to express themselves.
On June 14, 1977, the Supreme Court ordered Illinois to hold a hearing on their ruling against the National Socialist Party of America, emphasizing that "if a State seeks to impose a restraint on First Amendment rights, it must provide strict procedural safeguards, including immediate appellate review... Absent such review, the State must instead allow a stay. The order of the Illinois Supreme Court constituted a denial of that right." On remand, the Illinois Appellate Court eliminated the injunction against everything but the swastika. The Illinois Supreme Court heard the case again, focusing on the First Amendment implications of display of the swastika. Skokie attorneys argued that for Holocaust survivors, seeing the swastika was like being physically attacked.
The Illinois Supreme Court ruled that the use of the swastika is a symbolic form of free speech entitled to First Amendment protections and determined that the swastika itself did not constitute "fighting words." Its ruling allowed the National Socialist Party of America to march.
Effect of the decision
In the summer of 1978, in response to the Supreme Court's decision, some Holocaust survivors set up a museum on the Main Street of Skokie to commemorate those who had died in the concentration camps. Ultimately the NSPA failed to carry through its march in Skokie. (Gaining permission in Chicago, they marched there instead).
Obama’s policy against ISIS is Dangerous as is allowing Iran to start a Nuclear race in the Middle East
Who knew a FReeper would side with mohammedan apologists at NBC?
Not a fan of MLK....a not so closeted Marxist. Even less of a fan of Jim Crow. MLK did what needed to be done. Even Charlton Heston marched with him.
As far as I’ve heard, she’s not complaining about the fire burning her,
but about her fellow “Americans” responses.
You don’t expect a rabid dog to be controllable,
you just put it down.
willywill passed away ,
mashed mood ain’t far behind.
These folks can deny reality all they want, but eventually reality will bite them in the a$$!
The Gods Of The Copybook Headings
As I pass through my incarnations in every age and race,
I make my proper prostrations to the Gods of the Market-Place.
Peering through reverent fingers I watch them flourish and fall.
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings, I notice, outlast them all.
We were living in trees when they met us. They showed us each in turn.
That water would certainly wet us, as Fire would certainly burn:
But we found them lacking in Uplift, Vision, and Breadth of Mind,
So we left them to teach the Gorilas while we followed the March of Mankind.
We moved as the Spirit listed. They never altered their pace,
Being neither clud nor wind-borne like the Gods of the Market-Place;
But they always caught up with our progress, and presently word would come
That a tribe had been wiped off its icefield, or the lights had gone out in Rome.
With the Hopes that our World is built on they were utterly out of touch.
They denied that the Moon was Stilton; they denied she was even Dutch.
They denied that Wishes were Horses; they denied that a Pig had Wings.
So we worshiped the Gods of the Market Who promiced these beautiful things.
When the Cambrian measures were forming, They promiced perpetual peace.
They swore, if we gave them our weapons, that the wars of the tribes would cease.
But when we disarmed They sold us and delivered us bound to our foe,
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings said: ‘Stick to the Devil you know.’
On the first Feminian Sandstones we were promiced the Fuller Life
(Which started by loving our neighbor and ended by loving his wife)
Till our women had no more children and the men lost reason and faith,
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings said: ‘The Wages of Sin is Death/’
In the Carboniferous Epoch we were promised abundance for all,
By robbing selective Peter to pay for collective Paul;
But, though we had plenty of money, there was nothing our money could buy,
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings said: ‘If you don’t work you die.’
The the Gods of the Market tumbled, and their smooth-tounged wizards withdrew,
And the hearts of the meanest were humbled and began to belive it was true
That All is not Gold that Glitters, and Two and Two make Four-—
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings limped up to explain it once more
As it will be in the future, it was at the birth of Man-—
There are only four things certain since Social Progress began:-—
That the Dog returns to his Vomit and the Sow returns to her mire,
And the burnt Fool’s bandaged finger goes wabbling back to the Fire;
And that after this is accomplished, and the brave new world begins
When all men are paid for existing and no man must pay for his sins,
As surely as Water will wet us, as surely as Fire will burn,
The Gods of the Copybook Headings with terror and slaughter return!
NBC is part of the American propaganda ministry for the jihadist killers. When the SHTF, I won’t lift a finger to help these media Nazis.
Idiots never get it, especially liberal ones.
"Lighting a fire and laughing while the stupid bugs fly into it and are incinerated."
Kohlmann is right in one respect, and it shows how “hate crimes” and “hate speech” are just ways for the Left to treat people differently under the law (especially people the Left doesn’t like). They should be scrapped if we truly want equality in front of the law.
Its a nonsense word that means anything the speaker opposes.
Its Orwellian newspeak plain simple and anyone that uses it is a moron.
