I’m sure that now Iran is becoming our newest, bestest buddy the Government will try to stop showings of this.
Sheila was a school friend of my daughter’s when this was made.
I read the book maybe 15 years ago. Very revealing and disturbing.
What disturbs me is that I grew up knowing other cultures treat females; poorly is putting it mildly, and yet libs expect us to coddle Islam as a religion and Muslims as misunderstood. I don’t misunderstand anything about women as property.
A fan of the book and the movie.
Did I just get trapped in a Time Warp? This was a long time ago.
I already semi-lived this story twenty some years ago. (Not Iran.) moral of story is — don’t marry internationally. Just don’t. Kernel of the moral is — young people would never ever listen.
And the left loves them.
I thought the moral of the story was ‘If you’re traveling to Iran, make a pact with three or more good friends to do whatever it takes to get you released’.
About ten years ago I took a class that had a moslem chick in it and she became very angry and agitated when that movie came up somehow in a class discussion. She said it was all lies. Funny thing, she always carried around an AirAmerica tote bag. Even then I thought that this was a strange contradiction, a scarf headed moslem that listened to liberal radio.
Totally shocked at the turnaround of the man in this.
Movie was good, but book was better.
RACIST movie, watch out for ISIS while your watching this one,Oreilly,MSNBC,ABC,NBC,CNN,FOX, will accuse you of taunting Muslims by going to see this, better have security there when you go
