A new poll released Monday indicated that Americans believe race relations are at their worst in more than two decades.
The CBS News/New York Times poll said 61 percent of Americans characterize race relations in the U.S. as “bad,” including a majority of white and black respondents. The figure is the highest since 1992.
A total of 79 percent of African-Americans believe police are more likely to use deadly force against a black person than against a white person, while 53 percent of whites believe race does not play a role, the survey said....
....Most respondents – 64 percent of whites and 57 percent of blacks – thought the unrest in Baltimore following Gray’s death was not justified, the poll said.
Six in 10 respondents had a lot or some confidence that the investigation into Gray’s death would be conducted fairly, but the figure was split along racial lines, the poll said. A total of 64 percent of whites say they have at least some confidence in a fair investigation, but 52 percent of blacks have little or no such confidence, the poll said.

I hope everybody doesn’t buy into media hype.
...I must say, though, where I work and worship, the support for Obama among the black population has decreased or been subdued. Many realize he is a very poor president, even if they don’t say it out loud.
The black Christians have pretty much known that from the beginning, of course.

NickCarraway, I don’t think it’s possible to look at what is taking place in our nation and not realize race relations are very agitated right now.
We should be so far beyond this now. What with Obama’s efforts to rip this nation apart, this is to be expected.
It’s sad but true.
Is the media fanning the flames? Sure. It serves their purposes of divide and conquer.

2 decades?!! Hell try 5 decades...Obama and his almost solely black and Muslim staff tried to pay the wrong generation of white people back by making their lives complete hell. The real payback is coming and its not going to be coming from the blacks. People that behave themselves and act responsibly have nothing to worry about...the looters and race baiters have it coming though...

I don’t think you can make an accurate judgment based on what you see coming out of the mouths of celebrities on TeeVee. That isn’t really America, but don’t try to tell them that.

It’s not about race, it’s about culture, we get along fine with people who share our values, but for those ferals, they do not share our values.
