NBC: Mohammed Drawing Event Attackers Were "Nutcases"; Christians "Have Done The Exact Same Thing"

In an appearance on Monday's broadcast of MSNBC's Hardball NBC terrorism analyst Evan Kohlmann berated Pamela Geller and those who hosted a contest to draw the prophet Mohammed in Garland, Texas on Sunday night. The event ended tragically when two gunmen, at least one being a Muslim, shot a security guard before they were shot dead by police.

Kohlmann said that while everyone has the right to freedom of speech, the coordinators of this event were "standing by the principle of hatred for other people." However, Kohlmann did admit that the response to contest was "predictable."

"Everyone has the right to freedom of speech and it's good to stand by that principle," Kohlmann said. "But these people are not standing by that principle, they're standing by the principle of hatred for other people. That's their guiding light. That's what they do. They are intentionally trying to provoke a response from the Muslim community and unfortunately, this was predictable."

Kohlmann likened the event to shouting fire in a crowded theater. The terrorism analyst said the event was about insulting "people's ancestors and their religious symbols," yet dismissed the perpetrators as those who had "nothing to do with Islam." Kohlmann, however, explicitly said there are Christians and Jews "who have done the exact same thing."

"I don't think it is any great revelation that if you shout fire in a crowded theater, and you incite people and you say nasty invective about people's ancestors and their religious symbols, that there are a couple of crazy nutcases who will come out of the woodwork and are going to try to take action, but that has nothing to do with Islam," Kohlmann explained.

In their never-ending effort to make themselves appear relevant, the progressive Left, which includes the media, lumps the radical Muslims and themselves into one category, as people who are offended by the free-speech stances of our Founding Fathers and Pam Geller's group. The reason the Founding Fathers included the right to free speech in the Bill of Rights, was to protect unpopular and offending speech.

This moron, Evan Kohlmann, is quick to blame Geller's groups for triggering this incident, when he fails to mention that Islam calls on it's followers to kill anyone that disagrees with them. Geller's contest attendees were not trying to kill anyone. They held this function in private. "Provoking" the two nitwit, ISIS wannabes was all their own doing. They had to travel hundreds of miles from Phoenix to get to the location in Texas. Did they think Texas was going to be like Paris, France? Not a couple of rocket scientists if you ask me. Good riddance. If Obama doesn't want to fight them in the middle east, then we'll fight them here.

Pam Geller may have her critics, but I am not one of them.

I wondered what the difference was between what I posted and what FOE appended

Apparently nothing.
But that's what happens when one thinks he has read and comprehended the entire post he's responding to, when obviously he has not.

...I was just gonna let it slide.

I appreciate your kind consideration.

How is this tragic? No innocent lives were lost.
