Dear Friends,
May I urge you to read this letter carefully? It has been written with a fervent prayer that you will recognize the urgency it conveys. It deals with a decision that is about to be announced by the U.S. Supreme Court, dealing with the definition of marriage. In late June or early July, the justices will reveal their decision to either affirm the definition of marriage as being exclusively between one man and one woman, or it will redefine this institution to include same-sex unions. If marriage is to be reconfigured in the law, which court-watchers predict is almost certain, every dimension of the culture will be adversely affected. It will be one of the most momentous rulings in U.S. history, tantamount to the Roe v. Wade decision in 1973. As we know, that terrible ruling 42 years ago divided the nation irreparably and has resulted in the deaths of 58 million babies.
I do not recall a time when the institutions of marriage and the family have faced such peril, or when the forces arrayed against them were more formidable or determined. Barring a miracle, the family that has existed since antiquity will likely crumble, presaging the fall of Western civilization itself. This is a time for concerted prayer, divine wisdom and greater courage than we have ever been called upon to exercise.

My comment about Farrah should not be seen as deprecating in any way my immense respect for Dr. Dobson.
Evil is having a field day.
It just boggles my mind that we are this close to this kind of depravity and perversion being accepted as normal in this country.
It gets a lot more mind-boggling (if I may employ a euphemism).
Yep. We ain’t seen nothing yet.
Not by me and not by my family. Probably not by you or yours.
Some people in robes will make a pronouncement - that doesn't make it right or "accepted as normal" - it means they caved to political forces. It means they're human, and not as grandly principled as we would like to think (of course there are several that we know have no principles).
Despite the polls I still believe the majority of Americans don't believe the sickness of homosexuality is "normal".
A SCOTUS ruling isn't going to change that.
No matter how bad it gets, remember who wins in the end.
James Dobson isnt.

Don;t know where the Farrah thing is coming from.
Nonetheless, even our libertarian radio folks have noted that EVERY SINGLE ARGUMENT for gay “marriage” applies completely to polygamy/polyandry/incest.
And if it passes, that will be the next step. And it will succeed.
And the USA will crumble inside a generation.

I am classic historical post-mil.
I had an email exchange with Mr. Farrah many years ago, when WND was new, that led me to conclude that, whatever his good points, he could be a buffoon. His website is cheezy, drowning in cheap internet gimmicks and for the life of me I have no idea how he gets otherwise sensible people to associate themselves with it.
Finally, when trying to post from WND, the FReeper is met with a message that reads, "Material from WND must be excerpted per complaint by Joseph Farrah". I guess that tipped the scale for me.
The story is available straight from Dobson site. You chose poorly and it shadowed Dobson.

We do not need the supreme court to destroy marriage. The termites in louisiana are doing just fine by themselves...
In the long run this evil will distory itself along with the people it corrupts and missleads. In the short run until that happens it will make those people and the lawless Government they command Tyrants of unmitigated power.
It will likely be too late by the time the ‘unsuccessful idiots’ now supporting them realize just the form of evil they have created in their lawless zeal.
But we Christians should not be fooled by the forgone conclusion already before us. The Law has been overthrown by a bunch of Federal employees in black robes who are demostratively governed by nothing more than their own shifting desires. They are in this way Oligarchs in all but name.
Until such time that we can find away to escape or overthrow this lawless Government we and our positerity shall be made subject to ever greater levels of tyranny.
Bush put the pirate Roberts there, to head it! And he is the puppet of the same evil which is working to end America.
