In a move amusingly reminiscent of Joseph Stalin's Soviet Russia, NBC News has removed the image of suspended anchor Brian Williams from its Apple iTunes podcast. In the old Soviet Union, when a party member was purged, his photographic images were also sent down the memory hole in the form of being airbrushed out of official pictures. A similar fate appears to be happening to Brian Williams according to a UPI report about Williams being airbrushed out of NBC News history.
Despite the fact that Williams' obituary has already been declared, let us not feel too sorry for him. After all it is estimated that Williams will receive an NBC News farewell gift of between $20 million and $30 million for doing nothing. That's right. In exchange for not showing up at work Brian Williams will have an enormous payday. Most folks would rejoice at that deal. However, if Williams still feels upset, then he should consider the fate of commissar (and former purge prosecutor) Nikolai Yezhov who was airbrushed out of official Soviet history in the pictures below. After being purged and imprisoned by Stalin, Yezhov was eventually executed. So, Brian, imagine the joy of comrade Yezhov if Stalin had visited his jail cell after his purging and told him that he not only would be released but also given $20 million and the freedom to travel wherever he wished. Yezhov would have thought he had died (by non-execution) and gone to Brian Williams heaven.

HA HA that so like ole Soviet Union play here LOL!
Sorry, the only other one getting that deal is Chelsea Clinton.
Next he’ll have a “cold”.
In the USSR, he would eventually have died of a “Lubyanka Brain Hemorrhage” ...
I already miss his comforting, warm smile and the way he read his prepared newscast each night . . . well worth the multi-millions that he earned each year.
Golly, I could lie and look up at the camera knowingly and warmly too. I think I’ll apply.
A big chunk of that money will go to New York state and city taxes. If I were Brian Williams I would NOW move to Florida (where I already am) that doesn’t have state income tax. However, even if Brian did that, I have no doubt that New York would still still try to claw its way into that money.
I think The Rev. Al Sharlaton is in the same neighborhood.
Well, they might not let him LIVE there but...
lol
Don’t quit your day job, just sayin’ :-)
FYI..It’s where it’s earned ( NYC)..not where you live..it’s called a “non-resident” income tax..been around for decades
He’ll still claim his picture is on there.
Another Romney Wordsworth. Obsolete!
But his payout is for NOT working so how could it be claimed as "earned?"
And the Leftists protect their own.
As Chuck Schumer told us, “We’re united. You’re not”.
And never will be...
Brian Williams? Who is that? I come from a parallel universe, and there was a Brian Williams who was a well known street preacher. Arrested several times for vagrancy. The photo of this non-person somewhat resembles the Williams from my universe, except the one in my universe has messy hair and a scraggly beard. He also smells of sweat and cheap wine. He keeps rambling about the Commandment number 8, about bearing false witness. The Williams in my universe is so fixated on this that he was arrested several times. He is usually seen on the streets with a small dog, a chihuahua. He is on his fourth dog as the police have shot the first 3 during previous arrests... Brian Williams, whoever he is has a sad story. I just don’t know if it can be told truthfully...
He should have been fired a month or two ago.
I don't care about the money. I'm jealous that Brian Williams had more excitement than anyone since Hillary Clinton's landing under fire in Bosnia.
He’s employed there..and NBC is required to withhold it..under severe penalty if they don’t..
More..remember Rush had the same problem..he used to visit NYC on occasion, and do his show from the WABC studios, if he made, say, $25 million, and did 250 shows a year, then for the one show from NYC, his earnings were imputed as $100K, and he owed state and city taxes on that. Athletes have the same problem...the Rays play in Yankee Stadium 9x each season. On a 162 game schedule, 9/162 of whatever a player makes is subject to NYS and NYC taxes.
