SAN MARCOS, Texas – A reserve sheriff's deputy is facing aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charges after police say he opened fire on a truck driver he thought had cut him off.
After nearly 15 years behind the wheel of an 18-wheeler, Frank Collins III thought he had seen it all. He was wrong.
"Never seen nothing like this," the 56-year-old said. "It's just too far-fetched."
But what the Fort Worth man experienced late Sunday night actually happened, according to San Marcos police.
Collins was driving along an Interstate 35 frontage road outside of Austin when he says he was suddenly cut off by a red pickup truck.

Is it a bad thing that I (correctly) guessed the shooter was hispanic even before reading the article? All I read was the headline and I knew.
Bad Cop trying to kill an ordinary working taxpayer?
Hardly news, goes on every day now.
It’s like in the movies — somebody do something that annoys you, what are you going to do? That’s right — you pull out your gun and you start blasting away. Everybody knows that’s how it’s done.
People are crazy.
It really doesn’t matter what their job is, what matters is that they are crazy people.

That's true, and I agree completely.
Police forces should sort them out though, and it seems they don't. Instead they are given guns, and authority to use them.
As circumstantial evidence that they don't sort them out, the endless stream of Bad Cops attacking ordinary citizens, often killing them.
Bizarre. The shooter cut off the semi and played brake test for awhile. Then when both stopped he got out and started shooting, including one through the windshield right where the driver, an older black guy judging by his photo, would have been sitting if he hadn’t ducked.

Sometimes people snap, man.
It’s been happening since the dawn of people.
Sometimes they give off signs in advance, sometimes they don’t.
This has happened before. I Arab named detective in an unmarked van transporting him and his co-detectives from some function when they got cut off.
They eventually got the man to pull over, then the cop just walked up to his window and shot him dead. There was a “sleeping” cop out on suspension in the back seat, who of course didn’t see anything.
Anybody know this case and provider a pointer to it? Be nice to follow up on what’s happened since I believe the detective was found innocent.

Thats interesting, you posted 27 incidents where the 800,000+ cops in the U.S. did something wrong. But I was looking for the story of a cop that shot a tax payer yesterday.
That’s awesome! I’m glad they got the message.
People just do the most whacked out stuff it seems like.
