I had heard that there was two different videos of him being placed in the van.
I hadn’t seen this one before.

The only other video I found was of Gray on his knees for a few seconds. It was at a different location though where they put shackles on his legs. To me it was meaningless. I couldn’t tell anything about his condition from it.
FWIW I didn’t spend a lot of time looking for videos of his arrest so I don’t know what else there might be.
don’t like raining on parades but he clearly didn’t test positive before he died right? They didn’t administer a blood test before he was put in the van so it isn’t as much help to the defense had they known it as he was arrested. The prosecutor will state about 100 times on cross examination that the cops assumed it but didn’t know for sure. The whole case from what the AG said is going to be based on what led to the bust. She said they had no reason to arrest him. That preempts what they knew for a fact later.
Obviously we and they can guess, make a reasonable assumption, that someone is on drugs but thats not identical as knowing it.
Sounds like the OJ jury in reverse.
Wellll the part I read was only the urine was in and the other part took longer, but lots of stuff out there who knows at this point.
Or he swallowed drugs that made him numb to pain and not in his right mind so that he slammed himself a little too hard into a metal wall... something criminals are videoed doing all the time in the back of police cars, by the way.
There is a picture in this thread of Grey standing up right in front of the van. His neck was clearly not broken before getting into the van.

There can be paradoxical reactions to any medication or drug.
And yet, in this modern time there is some responsibility expected of the captors as well as the captives. Not even by himself, other loose bodies were chucked into the paddy wagon. To shake that around is not conscionable, I don’t care how much contempt you have for “criminal class” since if we stop leaving “karma” up to God, focusing ourselves on written and standardized canons of justice, we end up uncorking the raw desire for revenge which is what, incidentally, fueled the riots.

The issues are intertangled as much as we would like to make them simple and clean... many houses have poxes upon them here... in a sense (I said, a sense, not from A to Z) the liberals are even right here about the situation not being simple, though it was also true that they egged on this tangled situation.

They mentioned something similar on Fox & Friends this a.m. (was only 1/2way listening while reading FR). I think it was then and/or perhaps last night that a former LEO said that some perps make their body go limp to make it look like the police hurt them.
