States Attorney Marilyn J. Mosby said Friday she has probable cause to file criminal charges in the much publicized death of 25-year-old Freddie Gray who died while in police custody.
Six officers, including a lieutenant and a sergeant, have been suspended after the incident. Gray suffered a spinal injury and died after riding in a police transport van that made several stops.
On Thursday, Baltimores police officials said they turned over their initial report to prosecutors a day earlier than expected.

Does anyone know if you can be arrested for running from the cops, even before you've been approached?
My evidence would be the affadavit ( widely reported) that supported that assertions signed under penalty of purjury by the arrested fellow in the front area of the paddy wagon. He said , in effect, that it sounded like he was trying to injure himself.
We’ll see how this plays out and further information comes out. I’d say this DA is suspect at best at this point. Activist, most likely. This person was a bad seed. There’s ample reason to think charges are merited here, but this case makes zero sense as laid out. It plays right into poor innocent Freddie was just walking down the street when the racist cops picked up for no reason and killed him. I call BS on that story with zero doubt. It’s much more complex than that.
I think it was business as usual for both the cops and the criminals that day(which is a sad state of affairs) that had a terrible ending. Rough driving with no seat belts, tuning up a guy while he is cuffed etc...
Read on lucianne that that the police union is calling on the state prosecutor to appoint a Special Prosecutor because of her ties to the Gray family attorney, who was/is a big donor-supporter of hers. She is also married to the lead councilman in Baltimore, who was seen on TV sounding off against the police issues.
The cops are in trouble for sure. No evidence backs up a thing they have said, but they certainly deserve a great defense.
“Freddie had 4 outstanding warrants”
Wrong. He had no outstanding warrants
“He was a criminal thug with warrants outstanding for his arrest!!”
Again, no.
“Freddie was thrashing around to beat himself up and ran into a bolt that snapped his spine.”
Again, entirely incorrect.
“Free the cops now!! We need millions in the streets!!In every city!!”
Take you meds.
Me thinks this is an elaborate conspiracy staged by the White Mosque and the Media.
Morgan Freeman: Unrest in Baltimore exposed the terrorism we suffer from the police
Detroit is going a whole different direction with a shooting that happened there the other night. It was a federal agent who shot the perp and the people are complaining about the lack of accountability from the feds.
Obviously it doesn’t fit the leftist narrative that leads to nationalization of cops so the media is silent.
There is been unrest but Chief Craig has a good strategy for preventing it from getting out of hand. He isolates the agitators and has them arrested for the tiniest infractions to remove them from the situation. He has the jail buses following the protesters so they know that they will be arrested if they step out of line.
“Depraved heart murder? What? What was he doing, driving 100 mph crashing into old ladies?”
Pretty easy to look up.

White folks better get used to much more contact with the police. Blacks will become “hands off”.
Was Freddie a felon? I know he had 20 or so priors. IN THAT CASE HE SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO CARRY A KNIFE, REGARDLESS OF TYPE OF KNIFE.
It used to be I could come to FR and pretty quickly drill down to at least a close approximation to current factual matter. Then we could discuss based on that.
I salute those who try to uphold and adhere to that standard.
Well a number of Christian leaders have WARNED a few days ago that there will be civil disobendencecoming
By August it will be anarchy nationwide The long hot summer of discontent is coming what can stop it? Think I’ll go on a long cruise
A police officer's job is not to enforce what the law should be, but to enforce what the law is. You may think that he should not be permitted to carry a knife, but that's not what the law is.
Do you really want the police to go around arresting people for things they think should be illegal?
imagine what the jury will be like. they will be calling for the cops heads and then laughing about it after.
No way can they have a fair trial there
Bump
“Not quite end of story. I believe it has been reported that this fellow passenger has recanted that story.
Why he would have told the reporter in the first place, and why he would later recant... who can know?”
He never told any media that it happened. The cops leaked the “information” that he said that. He very quickly came out in an interview and said that his statement has been characterized by the police, and that he had never said that. He is an... interesting character... to say the least, but I don’t believe he is lying.
I look for the late 60’s to be making a quick comeback by the end of the summer.
