Much of the mainstream media coverage of the Baltimore riots has focused on the supposed misdeeds of police in a city with an alleged history of police brutality, but far less attention has been given to a number of complicating factors surrounding the outbreak.
Widespread rioting, looting, and burning erupted on Monday after the funeral of 25-year-old Freddie Gray, who was arrested in Baltimore on April 12 and died a week later from spinal injuries he suffered while in custody.
Here is a Newsmax look at the 17 things about the Baltimore riots the media won't tell you:
1. Gray had an arrest record. He had been arrested a total of 22 times in Maryland, primarily for possession and distribution of illegal narcotics. Gray had been involved in 20 criminal court cases, five of which were still active at the time of his death.
2. Gray was armed. Police found him carrying a switchblade knife.
3. Police pursued Gray after he made eye contact with officers and fled. That's sufficient cause for pursuit if the fleeing suspect is in a drug-invested area, which Gray was.
4. Police officers reportedly violated policy by not securing Gray with a seatbelt inside the police van after he was apprehended. But a policy written in 1997 said seatbelt use was discretionary. However, a new policy requiring their use was communicated to officers on April 9, just three days before Gray was arrested, and the police union president said many officers were not yet aware of the policy changes

Twice is a coincidence. Three times is a plan.
While they’re fawning over the “peaceful protesters” they aren’t telling you that there have been 13 murders in Baltimore since Gray’s arrest and 9 shootings in the last 24 hours.
The article doesn’t mention the latest reports from the medical examiner that said that the fracture to Gray’s neck was consistent with a bolt in the back of the van. If the bolt was on the back of the van, the injury had to be self inflicted, since there were no officers inside the van with the door closed. This report is also consistent with the statement of the other passenger that said the ride was not rough and that Gray was banging himself against the walls and seemed to be trying to injure himself.
That worked out well for the city and CVS, didn't it?
Evidently, the idiot mayor forgot to tell the peaceful protesters the new CVS wasn't part of the "space" she was allowing them.
There was an “unruly” crowd in Detroit last night over a police shooting but Chief Craig really knows how to prevent a wild fire.
He singled out the agitators so they knew they were on the radar and brought in the jail bus. Things settled down before any rocks or bottles were thrown.
Wow. Those evil white racist cops are sure busy killing all them black folks, huh?

I wonder if a policy could be implemented to only have black cops patrolling black neighborhoods and making arrests. It would be hard to scream racism then.
If these hoods think they will fare better with black officers they are in for a rude awakening.
Ratings. This stuff gets great viewership.
Gray was a druggie. Depending on the possible drugs and the circumstances, Gray may have been violent and relatively impervious to pain. I’d like to see the toxicology report
That’s the crap that ticks me, Truth has fallen in the Streets.
I would like to see a list of all the businesses looted, burned or otherwise damaged. Hope some enterprising reporter is working on such a story.
Did the mayor take orders from Valery Jarrett..?..
Who takes orders from Barry Sotero?...
Who takes orders from Geo. Soros.?....
Who gets marching orders from Karl Marx?...

Where's the TP stashed?

True. It's about overbearing government and police brutality, not race.
True. It’s like a reality series.
What I am going to say won’t be popular, but once you slap cuffs on a guy he becomes your responsibility. That includes if he harms himself. The days of dumping recalcitrant suspects in the back of a vehicle and making a couple abrupt stops on the way to the station are long gone.
The guy shot in Detroit last night was shot by a federal agent. The fed says the guy lunged at him with a hammer and the father says he didn’t. I don’t know what the truth is but the fact that the feds are involved creates an interesting situation.
In Ferguson and now Baltimore they’re screaming for federal intervention and in Detroit they’re complaining about it.
