A prisoner sharing a police transport van with Freddie Gray told investigators that he could hear Gray “banging against the walls” of the vehicle and believed that he “was intentionally trying to injure himself,” according to an investigative document obtained by The Washington Post.
The prisoner, who is currently in jail, was separated from Gray by a metal partition and could not see him. His statement is contained in an application for a search warrant, which is sealed by the court. The Post was given the document under the condition that the prisoner not be named because the person who provided it feared for the inmate’s safety.
The document, written by a Baltimore police investigator, offers the first glimpse of what might have happened inside the van. It is not clear whether any additional evidence backs up the prisoner’s version.

The other prisoner stated that he thought Gray was banging his body into a metal partition in the van. If Gray was on drugs and unaware of how hard he was throwing himself against the wall he may have caused his own injuries.

No it doesn’t. Read the article. The second prisoner was loaded at the 3rd stop the van made — after Gray already requested medical assistance.
What he heard was an unconscious Gray in leg irons and handcuffed behind his back with no safety restraint — Which they claim was optional up until a week prior.
Meanwhile, BPD has been sued twice 2012/13 from two separate people for two separate incidents. Complete with claims of spinal injuries.
Stick with the trend. Stop buying all the BS.

Its not easy to protect someone from themself. You can’t seriously say it’s the cops fault that he injured himself. That is ridiculous and is not what it means by protecting someone in custody.

Apparently you have never riden in a bus. No seat belts. And crazy drivers. Sometimes you are sitting at a 90 degree angle to direction of travel. Very rare to hear sounds of a body slamming against the walls.
I heard on Fox that the autopsy report will not be released to the public on Friday. It will remain confidential which makes me think ...ooops looks like Freddie was not so innocent after all.
