Of course they're not animals. On the other hand, I didn't see cats and dogs throwing large rocks at the police, smashing the window of a police vehicle, looting a CVS, and burning it. And comparing animals to the riot thugs is an insult to animals. SO THERE!

Somehow the people in these neighborhoods have to make a community decision to endorse behavior that doesn’t lead to mass criminality and violence. At one time, the church filled this role for a larger number than it now does. How this is to be done requires the neighborhood to collectively make a decision. I’m not hopeful.
