Ninetyfour percent is an impressive number, particularly considering Obamacare is mandatory, and most readers would assume everyone kept their insurance. Which makes 94 percent a real success story. Except they didnt keep their insurance, and its not a success story.
The truth is (theres that word again), over onethird of Covered California policyholders dropped their insurance altogether.
Attkisson contends this is one of the worst retention rates in the nation. And for those poor souls who are still at the mercy of Covered California, the situation doesnt get any better, 84 percent of the policyholders will be paying increased premiums in 2015.
Aiden Hill, formerly a big supporter of Obamacare and head of the Covered California call center, says the coverage he gets from his Obamacare policy is less than he had before passage of the law and his premium skyrocketed 71 percent. In his words, So much for competition. I really believe that weve created a monster and its an unaccountable monster.

Sorry for your troubles. For the Billions that have been spent on the stinking morass that is Obamadeathcare, every uninsured or under-insured American citizen and probably Vets as well, could have been purchased a very nice insurance policy without screwing up everything for everybody. It makes me more than furious.
Good point, but ObamaCare isn’t really “socialism.” It’s more accurate to describe it as state-sponsored fascism, where people are obligated to conduct business with private companies under mandates imposed by the government.
This needed repeating...
This incompetent/malicious service is the natural result of a government sponsored monopoly, which is exactly what Obamacare is.
What makes it worst is the fact the FTC is supposed to oversee possible market consolidation (those in Rio Linda, i.e. monopolies).
John Roberts has NSA, CIA and FBI files at the White House.

The ‘poor’ got their medical care free at expensive emergency rooms before Obamacare.
So what if it cost $4,000 to treat a common cold? The poor person was treated - didn’t pay squat - and hospitals wrote off the loses to the benefit of their bottom line. The only people being screwed were taxpayers. Democrats fixed that - now taxpayers are being screwed MORE, the poor aren’t getting care, and the system will bankrupt the country.
Why aren’t the poor happy? Before they paid nothing for something - now they pay something for nothing. And it’s forced.
As far as I can tell, the only difference between socialism and fascism is that in socialism, the ruling body appears on the surface to be democratic, while in fascism there is no pretense about where the real power resides. In either case, the state takes your money and distributes money, goods and services as it sees fit.
If the existence of private companies in the health insurance business today is clouding the issue of fascist vs. socialist, just wait. The end game is single payer. They first had to "prove" that private companies couldn't make the system work. Then they scream for single payer. When the foolish voters get their wish, socialized medicine will be in place and there will be no going back, no matter how horrible the system is. And it will be horrible.
P.J. O’Rourke ‘If you think health care is expensive now, wait until you see what it costs when it’s free.’
Patience, patience....
all is on hold until after the decision by the SCOTUS.
Ha!
Because it’s reducing their premiums, right?
That's because they actively want to make people poorer while lining their own pockets. Their drive for total control over everyone else depends on spreading hatred and maintaining a large, permanent, and ever-expanding underclass.
