BE KIND TO STRANGERS
Do not forget or neglect or refuse to extend hospitality to strangers [in the brotherhood being friendly, cordial, and gracious, sharing the comforts of your home and doing your part generously], for through it some have entertained angels without knowing it. Hebrews 13:2 A clique is an exclusive group, one to which not everyone is welcome. Being "in" makes us feel important, but being "out" can be very painful. I find that even the church is full of cliques. As believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, you and I are instructed in the Word of God to make strangers feel welcome, to be hospitable toward them, and not to mistreat them in any way. This is especially important in church. I wonder how many people finally get up enough courage to visit a church on Sunday morning but never go back because everyone there ignored them. Of course, not all churches are cold and uncaring. Many are warm, friendly, and loving; and those are the ones that will flourish. Everyone wants to be accepted, made to feel welcome, and loved. God gave the Israelites specific instructions not to wrong or oppress strangers, telling them to remember that they were once strangers in the land themselves (See Exodus 22:21). We have all been the new person at work or at school, in a neighborhood or a church. We should remember how much we appreciated those who took the initiative to be friendly with us. We must always remember the golden rule: "Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you" (Luke 6:31 NIV). From the book New Day, New You: 365 Devotions for Enjoying Everyday LIfe by Joyce Meyer. The Book Behind The Story April 26, 2015
Your testimonies I have taken as a heritage forever, for they are the rejoicing of my heart.
Psalm 119:111
Millions of people around the world have seen Gone with the Wind, which premiered in the United States on December 15, 1939. It won 10 Academy Awards and remains one of Hollywoods most commercially successful films. It was based on Margaret Mitchells 1936 novel, which sold one million copies within 6 months, received a Pulitzer Prize, and has been translated into more than 40 languages. An epic movie often has its source in a powerful and timeless book.
The book thats the basis for the Christian faith is the Bible. From Genesis to Revelation, it is infused with Gods plan for His creation, including us. Psalm 119 celebrates the power and necessity of Gods Word in our lives. It lights our path (v.105), revives our souls (v.107), and guards our steps (v.110). Through the Scriptures we find wisdom, guidance, life, and joy. Your testimonies I have taken as a heritage forever, for they are the rejoicing of my heart (v.111).
Jesus our Lord calls us to base our lives on His Word and share the joy of knowing Him with people who are longing to find life. I have inclined my heart to perform Your statutes forever, to the very end (v.112).
What a book! What a Savior!
Dear Lord, Your Word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path. Your laws are my treasure; they are my hearts delight. I am determined to keep Your decrees to the very end.
The Bible, Gods eternal truth, can be trusted today.
: Psalm 119 is the psalmists response to Gods Word. Although he was scorned for trusting it (vv. 23-24), the psalmist vowed to remain committed to knowing and obeying Gods Word (vv. 106-110). In the midst of lifes troubles and difficulties (v. 107), he affirmed that Gods law is indeed a lamp that illuminates his ways and a light that provides guidance in responding to life (vv. 105,130). The psalmist believed that Gods Word would renew him and keep him strong (v. 107). It was his heritage and his joy (v. 111).

Good evening, Mac...*HUGS*...and a Blessed Lord’s Day to you and the MacNessa family.
Any dirt time today?
I got my Mom and Reggie over the threshold of the sliding glass door and onto the deck using cardboard and carpet scraps, but I need to do some refining to make it easier. She got to check out her pots, pull out some dead stuff, and think about what she wants to do as it warms up some for flower planting.

No dirt time today, but we did get some things done. Today was Spring Cleanup Day in our neighborhood. The city provided a Dumpster and a pickup truck and we were able to dispose of our unwanted stuff. I got rid of the old fence wood and some other items. The Grill went to its rest today as well - I'm buying a new one soon.

Dear God: I ask that no Airman, Coast Guardsman, Marine, Sailor, Soldier, Reservist, National Guardsman, or Merchant Marine feel alone or forgotten.
O Israel, hope in the Lord; For with the Lord there is loving kindness, And with Him is abundant redemption. And He will redeem Israel From all his iniquities.
Psalm 130:7 & 8

We had a sectional rehearsal today (me and two guitar players) and actually did some serious “Arranging” of the music. Then we had a beer and the new guitar player (who is usually quite inarticulate) began expounding upon the NT Books of Romans and Hebrews (arguably the most theologically complex and difficult books in the NT Canon).
It was delightful...but weird and unexpected! LOL!
