GAINESVILLE, Fla. The University of Florida suspended one of its fraternities on Friday after allegations that its members hurled drunken insults and spat at a group of disabled military veterans at a Panama City Beach resort.
The school said on Friday that it is charging the Zeta Beta Tau fraternity with obscene behavior, public intoxication, theft, causing physical or other harm, and damage to property.
The suspension came after the fraternity had already suspended operations itself and expelled three of its members after finding they had behaved inappropriately.
"I am personally offended and disappointed by the behavior that has been described to me," Dave Kratzer, the school's student affairs vice president and retired U.S. Army major general, said in a statement.
The situation occurred while the fraternity and veterans with the Warrior Beach Retreat were at the Laketown Wharf Resort last weekend. The veterans were there for an annual retreat meant to honor their service, and the fraternity had a social function.

a bustling for the May queen?
At this point Id like to see the youtube videos...OF the fratt punks acting up...
nice clear high resolution images of the perps would be a wonderful adjunct to their being smacked ...by the University.
Folks there would then know who to SHUN!!
Who are these spoiled, unappreciative, ignorant brats who had the gall to do this? Names, addresses, and faces please.
These SOB’s need to be taught a lesson; a lesson that won’t be forgotten for a very long time. And being drunk is no excuse whatsoever.
stairways to Heaven or rather down stairways to Hades for the abusers.
How long before Abe Foxman and his crew show up yelling ‘antisemitism’?
One thing I haven’t seen mentioned is that ZBT is mostly a Jewish fraternity.
Probably just few liberal secular Jewish punks that voted for Obama.
This whole mess needs to be laid at the feet of the Panama City city council. They’ve been turning a blind eye to the criminal activity that has spawned there on their beach because the three bid open bars there are making a pot full of money off of all of the “spring break crowd.” FNC had some smarmy bastard who runs one of the bars on and he oozed filth. I think only one council member has come out publicly and said that their beach is a disgrace today.
ZBT
Zillions
Billions &
Trillions
I honestly don’t get it. Most kids are pretty respectful of the military. When I was in college TEK’s were the Jewish fraternity and they were the most mild mannered of all of them.
If the elite who can afford spring break vacations and to be in frats behave like this, how can we expect any better from the masses without much to lose?
I cannot believe Panama City allows their city to be taken over for weeks at a time because of a few business owners. Fort Lauderdale used to be the college spring break destination but those people decided they didn’t want it.
I travel to the area some on business but avoid the place during spring and summer.
Probably around the time you pull your Nazi gear out of your closet.
There was a ZBT chapter when I was at school 50 years ago..they were all shits back then too
As a non-Jew who has long admired Jewish culture, that breaks my heart.
I see you are keeping your ‘victim’ card handy these days.
See it’s stuff like this where I could see myself ending up in jail and probably financially ruined because there is no way in hell I would be able to control myself if I saw this in person. It’s bad enough that we have a treasonous radical Islamic piece of rat filth as President who surrendered all the land those vets gave life and limb for, but to see the vets disparaged as well especially by little sh*t bags like this drives me absolutely up the wall.

Zeta Beta Tau (ΖΒΤ) is a Greek letter social fraternity. Founded as a Jewish organization, in 1898, it was the first Jewish fraternity. In 1903, it dropped its religious affiliations, and in 1954 it began admitting members of all faiths.
