Cedar Rapids, Iowa Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker told about 200 Republicans here Friday that if he runs for president, he will campaign in Iowa up until November 2016, and not just through the crucial caucuses in the early part of the year.
"We wouldn't be here just for the caucus we'd be back here for the full haul," he said.
Walker said winning the Midwest will be crucial for Republicans.
Walker is on a two-day swing through Iowa home to the nation's first presidential contest as he prepares to launch an almost-certain bid to take the White House.
Walker's first stop was a fundraiser for U.S. Rep. Rod Blum (R-Iowa) at the Cedar Rapids Marriott. He is slated to host an event to raise money for local chapters of the Republican Party on Friday night in Sheldon in northwestern Iowa.
On Saturday, he is headlining a fundraiser for U.S. Rep. David Young (R-Iowa) in suburban Des Moines before speaking at an Iowa Faith & Freedom Coalition fundraiser.
That event features eight other declared and likely presidential candidates U.S. Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky, U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida, former Texas Gov. Rick Perry, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina and former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania.
It is the third Iowa forum for presidential candidates Walker has hit since January. The first event the Iowa Freedom Summit launched Walker into the front of the field, and he returned in March for the Iowa Ag Summit...

Why not just tell those 200 voters he will stay in Iowa until the end of the Primary, then they all can together celebrate the Primary win by Cruz.
