Early Thursday morning, ahead of the Senates vote on President Obamas nomination of Loretta Lynch for attorney general, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, ranted about current Attorney General Eric Holder, the likelihood of having Lynch as his successor, and the Republican Senate majority. He argued that as bad as Eric Holder has been as the attorney general, Lynch would be just as bad, if not worse.
Cruz, who is running for president, posed a tough question to the Senate: what difference would it make whether Republicans or Democrats dominate the Senate, if someone arguably promising to be just like Holder is nominated by a president like Obama as attorney general?
Cruz concluded his speech by saying that any senator who votes in favor of Lynch would ultimately violate their oath of office to support and defend the Constitutionand would have to explain said vote to their constituents.
As Western Journalism reported, the Senate approved Lynch on a 56-43 vote. 10 Republicans disregarded Cruzs advice and supported her nomination: Kelly Ayotte, (N.H.), Thad Cochran (Miss.), Susan Collins (Maine), Jeff Flake (Ariz.), Lindsey Graham (S.C.), Orrin Hatch (Utah), Ron Johnson (Wis.), Mark Kirk (Ill.), Rob Portman (Ohio), and Senate Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.).
Senator Cruz argues Lynch will be just like her predecessor...
She’ll be worse. She adds, to the other two “untouchable” characteristics (leftist, black), a third one-female.
Gave a great speech on the floor of the Senate, but did not stick around to vote because he had a “more important” speech scheduled in New York?
I know. He has never been my first choice, but this is still worry-some to me.
“Senator Cruz argues Lynch will be just like her predecessor...”
The Republicans who voted for Holder at least could have the excuse they had no idea how lawless he would be. These Republican fools who voted for Lynch are without any excuses. Their vote reveals their corruption.
That bothered me as well. But the way I am looking at it, ten Republicans voted for her, and I am sure he knew it wasn’t going to be close. There was no need to hang around and play the game. I think leaving shows disgust with the current leadership.
Bothers me. But just a little. The Gang of Six was determined to vote for The Woman of Color to prove that they are not "Racist," or "Patriarchal."

Repeal the 17th and these corrupt scumknuckles might well disappear.
“Gave a great speech on the floor of the Senate, but did not stick around to vote because he had a more important speech scheduled in New York?”
Cruz voted against cloture, trying to stop the nomination dead in its tracks. When cloture failed, it was a foregone conclusion that Lynch would be confirmed. This was McConnell’s plan all along. A number of Republicans crossed over to vote for cloture, to ensure that Lynch would be confirmed, then—having insured her confirmation—voted a “show vote” against her. Maybe that will fool some of the yokels back home. After all, it’s a time honored bit of chicanery for the Senate (particularly Republicans).
Yeah, but he lost the vote.
Yeah...he missed a vote. Should disqualify him from breathing...oh yeah...he was born in...shhhh...whisper so no one hears you....canada...shhhh....
Agree. No need to play a game that has a predetermined winner. Those Repubs are Country killing traitors of highest order.
Did Loretta forget to give Ted the secret Harvard Law handshake before introducing herself?
As far as obliterating her, by all news accounts she appears to be around today and will be sworn in on Monday by Caliph Baraq.
This is the guy we need to elect as President.

That’s the way I read it. What he ought to do is say so. (if that’s his reason)
I like the fact that Ted Cruz doesn’t play the games they’ve been playing in the Congress, “I voted for it before I voted against it.” He tried his best to convince his cohort. But their eyes are not open to see their real duty in Congress.
We cannot waver. Keep up our faith, FRiends!
It was a spectacular job delivering the case against Obama, Holder, and Lynch. Hearing the persuasive evidence against Lynch presented by Cruz in his speech, the 20 Republican Senators who voted for cloture (John Cornyn of TX was one) and the 10 who voted to confirm Lynch deserve the rebuke of voters. The fact Cruz missed the final confirmation vote means nothing to me as his constituent; he fought hard throughout the Senate Judiciary hearing and at the appropriate time on the floor of the Senate.

0bama’s lawlessness continues aided and abetted by Republicans. If this continues who will consider themselves subject to law? In a banana republic money and firepower are what talks and the law walks.
