Houdini had a standing offer of $100(?) to anyone who could make him double over from a punch.
It was intended to be ON STAGE and he would have to tense his ab muscles for the blow.
One day an idiot came up to him and just let go with a punch as hard as he could into Houdini’s stomach while he was talking to acquaintances unaware of this impending attack.
I think he died of internal bleeding and possible organ ruptures..........................
