Weve blogged these results before so why not again? Theyre interesting. In the most recent Hot Air survey (conducted by Patrick Ishmael online at our famed sister website), Ted Cruz has catapulted himself into first place, gaining a burst of momentum after becoming the first Republican hopeful to officially announce hes running for president. Scott Walker and Marco Rubio took silver and bronze medals, respectively.
Again, as weve intimated time and again, the results are fairly meaningless this early. But it is interesting that Ted Cruz received just 437 out of 1562 total votes cast in March (among a very conservative sample) the last time the poll was conducted. This week, however, he earned 668 out of 1782 total votes -- roughly a 10 percent improvement. Thats a nice little bump for the junior senator from Texas.
Marco Rubio, for his part, also got a bit of a boost, doubling the number of votes he earned between March and April from 95 to 191, respectively. Fellow Floridian and establishment favorite Jeb Bush didn't fare nearly as well, however: He finished with a grand total of 17 votes tallied in April -- one more than he received last month.
But at least he earned some support, right? We cant say the same for Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC). If the primary were today, not a single Hot Air reader would pull the lever for him. Not one.
That doesnt bode well for his forthcoming announcement, now does it?
Jeb must hvae gone and voted himself.
I don’t believe there is such a thing as a meaningless poll.
If there was, the losers would never mention it was a meaningless poll.
We all know the accuracy of these polls, but I honestly don’t think there is a down-side to having your guy come in first. And the value of coming in last is always revealed by the loser’s supporters.
Now, if it’s a “who is the biggest Leftist” poll, I might rethink... LOL
Walker was a close 2nd.
The rest of the pack were way behind.
He has people for that... = :^)
but everyone on the Brett Beier (sic?) panel think Jeb is the only one with a snowballs chance in hell of winning.....
I used to like that show, now it agitates me.
It was probably Tokyo Rove who cast that vote for JebEye.
Ted Cruz Ping! I used to like that show, now it agitates me.
*********************************************
I used to like that network, now it agitates me.
Things are looking real good. Real good!
Republican party RINOs and the LIBERAL LEFT continue to try to ignore him.
He is, very much like Reagan, GAINING traction that I believe will NOT go away.
Why is anyone still supporting Rubio?
Is one knife in the back not enough?
Fox News is part of The Ministry of Propaganda, paid for by The Cheap Labor Express.
They will only back cheap labor importers.
I used to like The Five, believe it or not when Bob Beckel was on, because he made me laugh my ass off and reminded me of the old blue collar democrat, not the flakes we have now. He was like many of us, he just never grew up, hard drinking, hell raising, fist fighting, in your face, he is less PC than many of the GOPe. Bob would grimace at some of the crap he was supposed to say. I swear, I think he was starting to come around.
Juan Williams gets alot of crap, but his kids are good solid conservatives, and you can see it in him as well, I think he’s more conservative than many of the GOPe types on FOX, he just does his best to hide it. Judge a man not by his words, but his actions, Juan’s kids speak volumes to me.
I liked Red Eye when Guttfeld was the host, now it’s give or take who the host is.
Not because I agree with everything Guttfeld says, I don’t, and I don’t really want to watch something I agree with all the time, but he’s sharp as a tack, and I appreciate that. Krauthammer is the same way, I disagree with him a bunch, but he’s very smart and articulate. George Will is the poster boy for country club republican, I have no use for him. Bill O’Reilly makes my stomach a bit queezy, he thinks hes about 40 points higher on the IQ chart than he is. I don’t need to be preached to by an average intelligent person with an average grasp on what’s going on in the world, nor do I like how he stifles some of the guests on his show who clearly are above his weight class when he starts to look like a fool.
There is one girl who is on the five sometimes, not sure of her name, she was on last night, she considers herself some sort of hottie but just comes off as a 40 something sleeze, if she’s on, I can’t watch it.
Otherwise, it’s pretty much the Roku.
Not that I’m a sycophant who can only watch something where everyone agrees with me. If that was the case, then I would be no better than the Obama Zombies. I like to hear a good argument, from both sides. Fox used to deliver that, now with few exception, that is hard to find. Either it’s a preacher telling you everything you want to hear, or it’s someone calling you a racist on the news.
Good intelligent debate makes for good entertainment. Hell, even just a good fist fight sometimes would be better than a row of nodding heads all in agreement.

I used to like the Five, but I soured on them immediately on the day that Cruz announced, and the GOPe’rs there didn’t support him at all, (except for Kimberly Guilfoyle, who I like.} KG is the strongest conservative on the Five.
I still like watching Martha MacCallum in the a.m., as she is easy on the eyes and is smart.
Dennis Miller is worth listening to, and Watters World is a blast. That’s about as much FNC as I watch or record to watch.
Not a bad Poll result. Considering that Hot Air has not allowed new members in years.
It maybe not be scientific, but it’s a barometer, a thermometer to gauge where people are going with their support of a canadate and money.

The part that controls the size is in the height=the number shown above in bold. You can change the height number to whatever you like. After you put the height numbers in and the image location information, enclose the entire package with < on the left and > on the right. Do a preview to see what your numbers do and post if you like it. If the photo is too big or too small, you can adjust that height=number.
