I haven’t watched Fox news since the bloviating gasbag what’s his face stabbed the Swift Boat Veterans and POW’s for Truth in the back. I guess that’s been over a decade now.
Hmm... I’m double digits on FR. Wow!

I feel like complaining to Fox that this was not an interview but taking sides. She could ask Cruz his positions but not editorialize on his being too conservative for independents.
Its far too early to say if Jeb is too liberal for independents, just like we don’t know if Tea Party people won’t any longer accept Rand, or Rubio.
I don’t see Fox going after Dems or Rinos with this level of animosity
Anyone can tell me how to send a complaint to Roger Ailes?

No one should be fooled into thinking Martha MacCallum didn’t vote for the Marxist. She is a New York Metro Area media type. No way she’ll ever understand Ted Cruz.

Reagan paradigm -
don’t cater to the independents,
educate them on why your position is the best.

The moderate GOP squishes think independents cannot possibly be conservative.
Inadvertently demonstrating why squishes rarely win elections.

The American people are crying for leadership for 2016 the way they did back in 1980. The GOP candidate in 1980 was a conservative but he spoke with clarity and conviction. He was able to attract voters from all over the political spectrum because he followed a simple premise of saying what you mean and meaning what you say. Americans want someone they can believe in. They don’t necessarily have to support every political view he espouses, but they need someone they feel comfortable with who can lead the country.

He admitted that he may have misspoke in saying hes been pressing McCain, as hes been pressing the Senate Armed Services Committee and that McCain is the new Chairman of that committee.
This is the first time I’ve seen a public figure say he misspoke and, when it’s explained, makes complete sense. Usually it means they fabricated something, i.e. “He admitted that he may have misspoke in saying hes been pressing McCain, as hes been pressing the slacks he bought in McCain’s state.”

The problem with McCullum is she is equating (as is most of the driveby media) independents with moderates. Many moderates are independent voters, but most are democrat or democrat leaning.
Many independents are conservative, or are open to support conservatives, but just not Republicans who are CINO (Conservative In Name Only).
Of course the Leftists in the democrat party and media (and yes, I understand they are the same) hope that independent=moderate=democrat voter.

Does it never occur to the so-called “news” media — that many, many independent voters are conservatives?
