When Hillary Rodham Clinton announced — by video, not live and in person — that she is running for president, she declared that “everyday Americans need a champion, and I want to be that champion.”

Then she took off in a “van” dubbed by Clintonians the “Scooby Doo,” after the lovable, high jinks-prone cartoon dog.

But as with everything Clinton, the strategy to humanize Hillary — a multimillionaire who hasn’t driven since 1996 and can’t remember the last time she got her own morning coffee — has been a a surreal exercise in absurdity.

Why does Hillary want to be president?

Is she in a pissing contest with Bill, so she can say she was president also? And she will be more liberal than him, accomplish more, etc.

Does she really feel entitled to be president, as reward for putting up with all that Bill threw her way all these years?

Political differences aside, Bill was good at the give and take of politics, making speeches, going to rallies,etc. Hillary is just not a good politician.

I heard somebody say Hillary wants to be president, but doesn’t actually want to have to run for president, and do all the campaign activities that one has to go through to be elected.

That van tour made Hillary easy to ridicule, and even the MSM--at least in private--knows it clearly. If her tour in New Hampshire is a repeat of what happened in Iowa, it's going to turn into a PR disaster for her and then the MSM may at least start being skeptical, and that could ruin Hillary's campaign by Sommer Solstice--in 2015.
