NASHUA, N.H.Sen. Ted Cruz said America is craving new leadership during his speech at the First in the Nation Summit in New Hampshire today.
The Texas Republican, who announced his presidential campaign last month, began his remarks by praising his rivals for the Republican nomination as an incredible array of conservative leaders.
Later, he shared the story of his father who fled tyranny in Cuba for the promise of America.
That is the miracle of America, said Cruz. That no nation in the history of the world has allowed so many millions of people to come with nothing and achieve anything. And its why we will turn this country around.

Cruz is getting better and better...he stays on message better than anyone since Reagan.

He’s the only one who’s had a message since Reagan.
great comment..thanks
Cruz is a thorough scholar of the Constitution. He practically recited The Federalist during his 21 hour filibuster. He knows popularly elected senators cannot defend the 10A. Our last 102 years prove it.
So why is it that Ted’s father can flee to U.S. from Cuba, but others from Mexico cannot?

That is freakin' hilarious. Great strategy, too.
The boy-king CANNOT tolerate ridicule. He will have to respond eventually. And "Mr. Cruz" will crush him.
Repeal every executive order and constitutional infringement issued by BHO
Take out the MB / Commie / La Raza trash in the WH
Secure our borders and deport the illegals and Muslims who wish to do our country harm
Stop handing out money to everyone who hates and despises us
And our nation will heal
The media will not be able to respond fast enough to all of Ted's proposals.
Even the RINOs will get in line, because they're just cowardly followers.
I can't wait. And I'm going to see him speak in NH today 8-)
Sadly, I know he can win the election but I will be shocked to see him make it through the primary as we watch the GOP sabotage him at every turn. It will be a great example of an incredible man if he can run the primary gauntlet successfully.
The rats have created an irresposible lazy class “the give me army” that will be very hard if impossilbe to remobilize. Only way is if you dont work you dont eat
> He’s going to fight Progressivism on all fronts, dropping a bomb on Democraps on a weekly basis, just like Obama has done to u
I’m going to venture a bet that the homonazi’s shrieking won’t be quite as deafening and homo acceptance / conversion shows like Modern Family and Glee and homo-activism to recruit / convert Boy and Girl Scouts will go away quietly into the night. That alone would be worth much...
Thanks for the post, RayChuang88.
The notion of taxing income of individuals differently than the incomes of businesses is ridiculous; you don’t get to deduct the costs associated with the income you earn, like businesses do. The idea of funding government on the basis of income taxation is a model that leads to the current status; an uncontrolled IRS, 80,000 pages of obtuse, confusing regulations that touch virtually every facet of our lives and livelihoods, and a fedgov leviathan with no desire to control its profligate spending.
A funding mechanism based on consumption accomplishes a number of things:
1. Eliminates the ‘uncertainty’ that surrounds tax filing and compliance requirements of the current model.
2. Re-establishes the privacy of the populace from the prying eyes of an overreaching government. No annual filing required; and no IRS.
3. Brings previously ‘hidden’ criminal enterprises into the taxpaying world; even the drug lord can’t avoid the consumption tax on the new Lincoln Navigator and all that bling.
I find the Fair Tax model to be the most suitable for America, although I don’t care for that goofy ‘prebate’ notion.
It’s time to dump the 16th Amendment and the income tax model, all together. No phase in, no incrementalism. Just set date certain, and go...I suggest January 1, 2016.
"You know, if only the terrorists attacked a golf course.
That might actually get the White Houses attention."
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people
That is a very good point.
For my entire adult life leftists have been the aggressors. keeping conservatives on defense (joined once in a rare while by republicans).
And leftists are constantly on the attack on multiple fronts on multiple issues.
If leftists lose a fight on one of their agenda issues, they don't actually lose anything and conservatives don't actually gain anything - they have just held the line for another day.
If conservatives lose a fight on a leftist issue it is a real loss and the leftists rack up a real win in the sense that they get to move their agenda forward.
That is why every compromise is always a loss for conservatives and a win for leftists.
A leader like Cruz will not only hold fight to hold the line, he will aggressively push back to regain what has already been lost to the leftists.
And Cruz is the only candidate who shows any intention at all of taking the fight to the leftists instead of trying to hold the line or compromising just a little bit more on every issue.
I think you are right that the ultimate goal is a Fair Tax based on consumption. I have heard Cruz say that the Fair Tax was the best solution, but we need to get there incrementally, with the Flat Tax as the first step. I think the Fair Tax is the best way to ensure that everyone is sharing the burden and is vested in the country.
And she wants to be our champion.
