"...Mr. Walker is the top presidential choice for 24 percent of GOP primary voters, according to the poll out Wednesday from the Democratic firm Public Policy Polling.
....Mr. Walker was viewed most favorably by GOP primary voters; 57 percent had a favorable opinion of him, compared to 13 percent who had an unfavorable opinion. He also led among a swath of the potential primary electorate, winning over GOP voters who identified themselves as moderate, somewhat conservative and very conservative.....

I've thought it, re-thought it, and re-re-thought it. I've talked with many people who actually love America, and I'm convinced. Truth is, the GOP is a suckers bet, no matter how you slice or dice it. Cruz is a true Conservative, Walker is not. I will NOT vote lesser of evils anymore. If the Dimbulb Klinton wins, so be it. We'll know full well at that moment that the ballot box no longer works, and it's time for the next.
I like Cruz also but, I tell you, some of his supporters on FreeRepublic are causing me to wonder if Cruz can attract anything but nut balls. I’m starting to question him because of his supporters.
Good grief, what nonsense.

It’s my way or the highway isn’t new to this cycle.
It happens each cycle.
I prefer Cruz, but Walker would be acceptable.
But, I still want to see both of them in the debates.
Walker/Cruz or Cruz/Walker, either one would be my dream ticket.
I want to caution you about being too down on the Republican party in one sense. You and I see it the same, but you are forgetting one dynamic.
Who sets U. S. policy? Congress? No. The president does. If Cruz is the president, he will set policy. The Republicans in Congress will rubber stamp his policies.
Even though they won’t do the right thing on their own, I can not remember any time since Nixon, that Republicans didn’t fall in line behind the Republican President’s policy.
This is why it is vital for Cruz to be the next president.
If we get another Bush, we will have squandered the opportunity of a lifetime.
Cruz will roll back Leftist policy at least 30 years.
Can we afford to take a pass on that?
The GOPe and RNC do not want this. It’s time to make them irrelevent.
I’d bet you’d bitch more than anyone if Hitlery won.
Yeah, there are a few of those this year, as ususal. But it’s less than last time. I prefer Cruz, but find Walker very acceptable. Most people who prefer Cruz say the same thing, they find Walker acceptable. For that fact I am glad, for the few like this my way guy, I have little time for.
Yes, yes, yes. And how they hold up as the campaign unfolds. It's just starting.
Here’s a question for you: Would you vote for Cruz if Walker was on the ticket as VP?
Amen. That has been making me very cautious about Cruz.
Nope. I would simply continue on with life, as best as possible. I've not ever really "bitched" about obola getting elected, either. Fact is, he IS our president, like it or not. He's a horrible, anti-American socialist dbag, just like Hitlery. His policies suck, and he has ruined us. BUT, he was elected by the American people, mostly because the GOPe managed to get forth McStain and Romulan. The fault lies in us, the voters, who are more than willing to bend over and vote for the squish. Get behind the REAL CONSERVATIVE, or lose. It really is that easy.
That’s a valid point.
It's an OK question but not that meaningful because Cruz wouldn't need a vice president, he'd do it all himself.
Better question: Who would win in a collision between Cruz and a locomotive?
I’ve not ever really “bitched” about obola getting elected, either. Fact is, he IS our president, like it or not.
Obola is not my president and never will consider him as such.
Go ahead and grin and bear it. I won’t.
I would, because:
1. The VP is less a factor - the Prez calls the shots, and I believe Cruz would call Walker out when necessary.
2. I don't hate Walker, but I believe, based on his own words and actions, that he's far less a Conservative than Cruz, and too close to a RINO for my tastes
3. Given the VP slot, Walker could change my mind, but I would rather see him in action in a spot he can't screw up too bad (if Joe Biteme can do it, anyone can), and one that would give him more of a chance to prove his real Conservative chops. If Walker gets the main spot, I believe he'll govern a lot like Bush, and lets face it, Bush was a disaster to the Conservative movement.
Kicking, screaming, pissing, moaning, etc. won't change the election results. Might make you feel better, but it ain't gonna change anything.
McCain, Romney is why. Not because we pick conservatives like..............wait for it...........Cruz.
Funny you equate Conservatives with nut balls. Fascinating. Perhaps you would also be happier at a more liberal site? Just so ya know, this is a CONSERVATIVE site. Just sayin...
Some of the Republican Party first FRpers’s still believe the Republican Congress is going to save them even after being betrayed time and time again. These are the same Party above country people who would vote for the exhumed corpse of Ted Kennedy if the GOPE ran it and put an (R) in front of his name. I have to conclude they either are Party pukes to the core or like the lash being laid to their backsides.
