AUGUSTA, Ga. Coming into Sunday at the Masters, Jordan Spieth held a four-shot lead, and that was enough to ensure that this day would see a memorable story, one either of triumph at a young age or of gut-punch collapse.
What's more, Spieth became just the fifth player and first since 1976 to lead the tournament wire-to-wire, something not even Tiger has managed to do in his four Masters victories.

Well-said, entropy12.
Congratulations Jordan Spieth!
That was after every round, but he was 5 under after 10 holes on Thursday so it was almost for every hole, too.
Yup. He has become injury prone. No doubt.
I agree.
Can you imagine Jones, Hogan, Nicklaus, Palmer, Player, Trevino, Watson, etc. in their primes playing Augusta with today’s equipment?
At least he toughed it out. Gotta give him that..
The media covers for him like they do for Obama.
Jordan Spieth seems like a great young man. I have a feeling he’s going to conduct himself the same manner of the great gentlemen of the sport: Bobby Jones, Byron Nelson, and Jack Nicklaus. He’s a throwback to a different era in America and testament to a genuine Christian upbringing.
However as a white guy from Texas, he’s already in trouble with the media.
At that point, when he approached the 18th green, Spieth had it in the bag, and I think he did not want to take too long and keep all those spectators waiting, including his whole family. So he hurried his approach chip, mush sooner than all his previous chips. That is who Jordan Spieth is. He cared about the people more than his personal record. Just my opinion.
Phil has won five major championships. Can’t really sniff too much at that.
Texas Boy. Woot! Woot!”
You betcha. With Gentle Ben Crenshaw stepping down, just had to be a young Texan stepping up. And Jordan appears to be a wonderful young man from a great family. Too bad he isn’t an Aggie though, instead of a tea sip!
I concur. Nice to see a well mannered winner.
Jordan Spieth and girl friend.
Changes that have been made to the course at Augusta over the years....

Old Tiger got stung pretty good from that root in the pine needles. In his prime he would have cut the root in two and hit the pin.
Cool. Thanks. HOORAY Jordan Spieth!
No...Tiger did not finish top 10. He finished tied for 17th.
I’m surprised they didn’t write:
Black man beat by white boy at Masters.
What, exactly ARE you saying?
“Greens must softer”?
