Two leading GOP presidential candidates took extensive conservative catechism from their fathersand its the mirror image of the rights paranoid fantasy of Obamas indoctrination.
The articles have already started to appear: Whos crazier? Ted Cruzs Jesus-huffing father vs Rand Pauls gold-shilling doomsday dad?
Americans are already familiar with Ron Pauls wild ideas and chin-stroking over his cost-benefit to Rand has been a staple of punditry since Rand first hinted at interest at his own political career.
But the equally far-from-mainstream opinions of Ted Cruzs dad, Rafael, are not as familiar to a national audience. But if you havent already heard about his Obama conspiracy theories, homophobia or his unusually specific interpretation of Biblical prophecy, dont fret: Liberal outlets have all put on lobster bibs and staked out space on Rafaels lawn for what is, in all honesty, probably going to be fantastic television.
You can already anticipate the pushback to such attacks: They are not their fathers keeper. I would advise the candidates offices to draft some fill-in-the-blank press releases (all ending with does not speak for the Senator) to save time.
This defense is not just predictable; it has the added advantage of being true. Of course no one is responsible for a family members opinions. If everyone in every family agreed on every political issue, then how would we bond with our spouse after Thanksgiving?

The Daily Beast is a whacked-out, liberal rag started by a former editor of the extremely liberal “Vanity Fair”. Contributors to the publication include political activists such as David Frum, John McCain’s daughter, Meghan McCain, Kirsten Powers, Eleanor Clift and Patricia Murphy. I just read the headline.... saw the “source” and did not read the article. FU Daily Beast!

You don't remember just how much Hillary, Janet Reno, and Bill Clinton wanted to send little Elian Gonzalez back tho Cuba and the Communists, after his mother drown getting him here to FREEDOM?
You must be very young.
Hillary Clinton opposes Elian residency drive
April 2, 2000, The Miami Herald
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- (AP) -- Hillary Rodham Clinton on Saturday opposed congressional action to make Elian Gonzalez a resident of this country, putting her at odds with Vice President Al Gore.
''Hillary Clinton knows that we must take politics out of this decision,'' said Clinton Senate campaign spokesman Howard Wolfson.
''Elian's future should be determined as quickly as possible through the appropriate, ongoing legal process.''
The first lady was upstate Saturday to pick up labor-union endorsements in her Senate race against Republican New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani.
Gore, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, urged Congress last week to pass a law that would grant permanent resident status to 6-year-old Elian and some family members.
Clinton's position on Elian also put her at odds with Giuliani, who maintains that the boy should be granted U.S. citizenship and that any custody issues should be handled in family court.
President Clinton remains opposed to the citizenship measure.
Hillary was front and center, speaking against allowing FREEDOM for Elian.
Democrats always want ILLEGAL ALIENS in our country,
UNLESS a COMMUNISTS COUNTRY DEMANDS THEM BACK.
