Of course, some tribesmen are more open to the idea.

Wvwn the most primitive tribes know homosexuality isn’t normal. Its not natural; its a perversion invented by people with too much time on their hands...

Count my “tribe” as a holdout too! Catholic.

This could be interesting. I wonder if the gay lobby is going to start harassing the tribes. It’s one thing to go after Catholics and Protestants, but accusing Native Americans of homophobia is something else.

They need to appoint some of their own federal judges so it can be imposed against their will.

Yes, well thanks be to God for the Indians. And, for Oklahoma!

At least a minority who is prized by the Left, certainly not known as conservative, speaks out also, and not with a forked tongue, but with the simple truth.

Maybe Elizabeth Warren will talk them out of it.

Here is what the catechism says- and that is- what the Catholic Church says - about homosexuality. And the reference is certainly biblical as all of Catholicism is , namely, ref 141 Cf. Gen 191-29; Rom 12

No Member of the Church ire archly can change it, no priest pope or bishop, no school teacher, fallen away catholic, feminist nor anyone calling themselves Catholic, disagreeing with this for whatever reason can change this. No Supreme Court ruling can change catholic teaching

So I guess by tribe the author is hinting that she thinks she can change church teaching by shaming the church calling it tribal

When people state that their own wisdom is better than teaching that comes from the word of God the church warns against pride

Early Spanish explorers came upon whole villages of "Sodomites" that had been kicked out of the other family oriented tribes.

It’s more than a “handful” of “tribes” who will never accept the falsehood of homosexual “marriage”. Pushback there will be.

Didn’t the Osage or Pawnee tribes of Oklahoma recently embrace sodomite marriage?

Future generations will ridicule Americans and their "homosexual marriage."

Once removed from the influence of current groupthink propaganda, it will be seen for what it is and its proponents for what they are.

In the last Navajo Tribal President elections, there was more than one candidate who looked favorably on homosexuality. They didn’t get elected this time. Hopefully the Tribally Laws will stand until the return of Jesus when true righteousness will reign.

Wait for the manufactured outrage.

Tick, tick…

Waiting…

Can we at least agree, then, that the most prominent Indian among us, the senatorial squaw from Massachusetts, is a bigot for remaining silent about her people?

The Cherokee Nation in Oklahoma and the Navajo Nation, with about 300,000 members each, maintain decade-old laws that don’t recognize same-sex marriage. Neither tribe has shown much sign of shifting."

DECADE old? How about "laws since the dawn of time"? They may only have had to write them down a decade ago, since most people who respect Nature and Nature's God haven't felt the need to spell it out until the hippie-yuppie-yippie-community-organizer generation has come to power.

"But while 27 states that allow gay marriage got dragged over the [gay marriage] threshold by judges, the sovereign status of federally recognized tribes means a Supreme Court ruling wouldn’t directly affect their laws."

Surprised leftists who routinely accuse white people of harming native Americans, calling Christian missionaries "cultural invaders", now plan to culturally invade the Indian nations' sovereign legal powers.

"The tribe’s acting attorney general, Hannah Smith, said the resolution’s only practical effect is to make it explicit that a same-sex-marriage ceremony can’t legally be officiated on tribal land. A gay or lesbian couple married in a neighboring county could live on tribal land with no penalty."

That may well be, but she doesn't answer the burning legal question about whether bakers may refuse to bake a gay wedding cake.

Handful? 10 have approved same-sex mirages. I think this article was written by a homosexual.
