After a four-year battle with Alzheimers, Donna Lou Rayhons died in a nursing home in August, just four days shy of her 79th birthday. A week later, Henry Rayhons was arrested and charged with sexual abuse. State prosecutors accused him of having sex with his wife while she was incapacitated by dementia.

My heart goes out to you. Over the years this disease has affected those a couple of generations above me, to now affecting my peers. A vast majority of folks have not seen it up close and personal.
What is lost in translation is that the “victims” are people who have personalities, fears, loves, and everything else that “we” have.
They have the same range of emotions and desires.
