So does having a gun make you safe? No. In fact, it makes you, your family and your community far less safe. A recently published study in the Annals of Internal Medicine found that a gun in your home makes you more likely to be a victim of suicide, accidental shooting or homicide.

Accessible firearms are why gun deaths are second only to automobile crashes as a leading cause of death for young people. When the age of the "young people" is limited to "under 18", and gang-related murders are removed from consideration, this "statistic" is revealed as the bald-faced lie that it is.

That's odd. My parents, my brothers, my sister, myself, and my kids have all owned guns for all our lives and have had lots of our own kids and neighborhood kids around for years and years.
Oddly enough, none of us have had a single suicide, accidental shooting or homicide ever. I guess we are a really rare family. There should be blood running in all our gutters and at least a child funeral a year!

Where is the picture of the guy complaining about the repeated left-wing lies?

Every accidental killing of a kid reported in the local news here that I’ve read up on, the gun owner was on probation or otherwise not a legal gun owner. If these studies ever remotely acknowledged the difference between households with legal guns and households with illegal ones, they might actually be worth considering.
Arguing that what happens with a gun in the home of a violent drug dealer, with multiple kids by multiple women he’s never married, and who has been in and out of jail for years, says anything about what will happen with the guns of non-violent, legal gun owners, is ridiculous.
