Washington (AFP) - President Barack Obama attended a spirited Easter service at a historic black church on Sunday, in keeping with the first family's tradition of visiting local Washington area congregations.
The president, his wife Michelle and their two teenaged daughters attended the Alfred Street Baptist Church in Alexandria, Virginia, its pews filled with congregants who could barely contain their excitement over the visit.
"How fitting that on the day we celebrate the rising of our Lord and Savior, we also welcome our sitting president," Pastor Howard-John Wesley said to applause from enthusiastic worshippers, whom he urged to keep their cellphones in their pockets and purses.

Exactly who were the 'enthusiastic worshipers' worshiping? I'm afraid I know the answer (for most of the crowd - in including the pastor).

The few times he attended Church is due to the feeling of a burning sensation every time he attends a mass.

Alfred Street Baptist Church Will the congregation and premises require exorcism? I don't think the Baptists have much experience in this area.

Easter to them was about worshiping their new Messiah, our beloved Emperor and Empress. Did the congregation fall on its knees when he walked in?

Wait! No Rev. Wright Sermon? Remember Satan can attend church too. Satan also believes in Jesus just not the way many of us do.

Ironically enough, we drove past Alfred Street Baptist today en route to a family brunch in DC. Cops everywhere, but I assumed it was to control traffic and parking on the holiday that attracts huge crowds to a very active church. We passed the back of the church, so didn’t see the caravan of cars that transport POTUS and his entourage.

I don’t even know where to start.
If a person has accepted Christ as their savior, how can they support the democrat party?
One of the founding families at the church I attend is extremely liberal. Judging from the campaign signs in their yard, as well as facebook posts, they are extremely liberal. Yet they are in church EVERY Sunday.

Did they hold hands with the teenagers? I hate that photo op. NO teenagers hold hands with their parents EVER.
