President Barack Obama finds Indianas religious freedom law and others like it unthinkable, the White House said Wednesday.
I do think in the mind of the president, the thought that we would have state legislatures in the 21st century in the United States of America passing laws that would use religion to try to justify discriminating against people for who they love is unthinkable, White House press secretary Josh Earnest said.
Critics say Indianas law now allows for businesses to discriminate against gays and lesbians.

Apparently you have not read these laws or do not understand these laws. The laws do not grant new or special rights for individuals; the laws place limits on government, prevent government from imposing upon individuals, forcing individuals to violate their faith.
These type of laws, as exampled in Hobby Lobby case found Constitutional and cited as reason to stop the federal government via Obamacare from forcing owners of Hobby Lobby to violate their faith and purchase mandated items. The Supreme Court also stipulated that the Federal Law did not apply to State governments; such is why you see States now passing similar laws to RESTRICT government from forcing people to violate their faith.
Remember, the U.S. Constitution limits the Federal; not so much the States in many specific instances. I would not hold my breath waiting for this Leftist Federal Government to step in and attempt to intercede in the defense of an individuals religious liberty at the State level any time soon.

Constitution expert Obama evidently doesnt know that the religious freedom laws are not only based on Section 1 of the 14th Amendment (14A), but that Section 5 of 14A gives Congress the constitutional authority to strengthen religious freedoms as evidenced by the RFRA.
14th Amendment, Section 1:All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States [emphasis added]; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
Note that the privileges or immunities term which John Bingham, the main author of Section 1, used in that section is just another way to refer to constitutionally enumerated rights, most of these well-known rights listed in the Bill of Rights.
