Police are investigating after a man was found dead near a busy Miami intersection early Sunday morning.
Oscar Aguilera first found the man's body on a sidewalk at Biscayne Boulevard and 81st Street around 7 a.m.
"I saw him not moving and puddle of blood," Aguilera said. "I went and checked and saw when his eyes were wide open."
The victim was later identified as 22-year-old Shaun Cole, a Scottish soldier who was in town with friends for the Ultra Music Festival.
Cole served in the 1st Battalion, The Royal Regiment of Scotland (1SCOTS) and had served in Afghanistan and had recently returned from Sierra Leone where soldiers have been involved in the Ebola aid effort. "The men and women of 1SCOTS are shocked and deeply saddened to hear of the death of Private Shaun Cole," Commanding Officer Lt. Colonel Matt Munro said in a statement. "Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with Shaun's family at this desperately difficult time."
Police cordoned off two blocks on Biscayne for six hours as they investigated. Detectives consider the death unclassified, but have not yet said what happened to the victim.
A nearby gym turned over surveillance footage to police, and a red light camera may have also captured the incident.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS (8477).
Disgusting little trolls aren’t you two.
Mocking the soldier victim of a murder.
Maybe you need to go to your “safe space” until the “trigger” is over.
No one is mocking him.
Love some of the detectives on that show-especially those Miami Cuban detectives.
Sure you are mocking him.
*ping*
RIP.
I suspect "youths" or "aspiring rap artists" interrupted in the process of "turning their lives around."
I bet Obama's son wanted him to play rap music on his bagpipe. When he said that you can't, he shot him.

Biscayne Boulevard and 81st Street is just a couple of blocks from a very bad part of town. A British newspaper said he was killed by a blunt instrument.
I see very little humor in the young man’s death. Somewhere a family is grieving.
Pretty sure that Miami's black neighborhoods have won the "honor" of a mention in some European advisories.

Appreciate the tip but it can't be used--profiling you know.
If that’s what you need to say to feel important. I’m look it as more pointing out just what Europe’s military capability has become since we entered “The End of History” when there will be no more wars.
You are the one insulting a dead soldier just freshly murdered, to sound important and as a simple excuse for you to continue your usual nonsense.
Thank you. As a Scot, I am disgusted at the jokes here. Wonder how they’d feel if I mocked American dead?.
But then, I would never do such a thing.
You are a f*cking clown.
Crawl back in your hole, lowlife.
Yes, they are. As an actual Scot, I am frankly appalled by the jokes of SEVERAL posters here. Bet you’d all be the first to attack me if I joked about the USS Cole or American soldiers, airmen and naval ratings being killed.
A lot of the posts are in very poor taste.
Not funny. A young Scottish/British soldier is dead, in your country, and you think it funny to mock him and mock Scotland. Take a look at yourself.
