President Obama tapped taxpayers for a weekend golf trip to Florida -- and merriment flowed aboard Air Force One.
The president split a cold and windy D.C. (temps were in the 30s) and jumped aboard the presidential plane with a throng of friends and support aides. Just minutes later, beers were being tapped. A reporter wrote in a press pool report: "You can tell this is a non work trip ... someone forward of the press cabin ordered 3 beers at 9:26 a.m."
Saturday's round will be Obama 222nd round of golf as president --and the family has taken some 39 vacations since January 2009. According to Air Force documents, Air Force One costs $228,288 per hour to fly, putting the round trip price tag at more than $850,000. And that's just the air fare!

I remember when George W. was approached by a reporter and was asked, “how can you play golf when our boys are been killed in Iraq daily. He never played golf after that. I think this was at the beginning of his 2nd term. Does anybody remember this? or was this my imagination.
