Things haven't gone too well for the former CFO who criticized Chick-fil-A in a video he posted on YouTube. Unable to find lasting work, 37-year-old Adam Smith is living on food stamps with his wife and four kids in the RV they call home, he tells ABC News. "I think people are scared," Smith says of potential employers. "I think people are scared that it could happen again." Back in the summer of 2012, as thousands of people were opposing Chick-fil-A's stance on gays, Smith rolled into a Chick-fil-A drive-thru for a free glass of water and slammed the female attendant: "Chick-fil-A is a hateful corporation," Smith told her as the filmed the exchange. "I dont know how you live with yourself and work here. I dont understand it." Smith posted the video before returning to work at Vante, a Tucson-based medical manufacturerand the proverbial you-know-what had hit the fan by the time he got there.
The receptionist told him "the voicemail is completely full, and its full of bomb threats," he says. Fired that day, Smith lost his $200,000 salary and more than $1 million in stock options. He and his family moved to Portland, where he got a CFO job, but lost it two weeks later when they realized who he was.

Reflections of The Repentant Pinata; a bellowing Ode, with Greek Chorus, accompanied by the tiniest violin ever seen.
Thank you, never would have known ...
I dont believe in multiple posts. But if I did it would look a whole lot like this.
...like this.
...like this.
...like this.
I suspect that you are correct. He didn't just suddenly become a bully, and probably treated co-workers and those that worked for him in a similar manner.
LOL!! I had NO idea the gay went into the drive-thru for a FREE GLASS OF WTER!!!! Man......God has a great sense of humor called KARMA!!!
Or maybe even that!
If this guy can’t get a job, the problem is more than just his response to ChickFil-A. It is so convenient for him to blame his professional failure on the alleged prejudice of conservatives.
Apparently not. The reason this is "news" now is that he's self-published a memoir about all the terrible repression and discrimination he's faced since taking this heroic stand for gay rights by haranguing some poor clerk at the drive-up window of a Chick-fil-A and then posting the video of his awesome heroic action on YouTube -- really, that's how this douchebag views himself and what he did --
What a stunning exercise in arrogant narcissism. Truly, the man is a legend in his own mind.
I'm sure he blames Chick-Fil-A for what happened to him, but no company wants to pay someone 200 grand a year and have that person end up being a PR nightmare for the company. Figures he would move to Portland, and funny that even they don't want him there!
Hope the 15 minutes of "viral" fame was worth it.
Haha. I saw it before, but now I can really sit back and ponder and cherish this posting.
Can I get the “Ha-Ha” gif please? TIA!
I was one of those 15. LOL.
No, Chick-fil-A does not accept food stamps. But all the Chick-fil-A operators I have met would give a sandwich to someone who was starving.
They would??
But Adam Smith told Rachel that Chick Fill A was a horrible company with horrible values. Apparently companies and people are worthless in the liberal mind unless they support homosexual marriage.
It’s not Karma, it’s his attitude, which he still clings to. Who would want a jerk in their firm. Other than that, many would give him a chance. Rough row to hoe. He needs to humble himself and try to get a job at fast food, like Chic-fil-a, but he’s holding out for 150K+, which was his original problem...pride and gall.
Sounds like Griswald’s brother in law, doesn’t it..
So was (am) I.
Saw the 48 hours show. I would never hire him for anything.
