Emails have been sent out in recent weeks claiming that a current member of the US House, Matt Salmon, is the “conservative” alternative to McCain in the primary next year. Salmon is one of the 95 percent RINO House members who supported Boehner for leader the last two terms as I understand it.

If McCain runs for re-election, the GOPe will protect him with vote splitting multiple opponents, I suspect.

US Senators are extremely difficult to defeat — almost impossible for a person of the same party.

Arkansas displaced Senator Lincoln (Democrat) by having her challenged by a moderate Republican. Citizens were very disappointed with her performance in recent years.

Next, Arkansas displaced Senator Pryor (Democrat) by having him challenged by a more conservative Republican. Citizens were very disappointed with Pryor’s performance in recent years.

US Reps seem to be much easier to replace.

Those old senators have been around long enough to know where bodies are buries, who has the money and how they got it, etc. They have collected a lot of I.O.U.s and they wave them around at reelection time.

Does Arizona have a “sore loser” law? I could see McCain switching sides if he were to lose the primary.

Anyone with a brain could unseat McCain.

He clearly doesn’t represent Arizona. That’s the point.

He has done NOTHING to advance the interests of the State unless you consider turning the State into Alta Sonora something of interest.

Running around Eastern Europe and Northern Syria with various thug militias is not something that housewives in Tempe give a crap about. And they DO vote.

Kelli would be formidable. Republican women are very powerful in Arizona because they are generally more politically involved then in rural or urban areas.

McCain has no connection to any of them. He’s a creature of the Federal Monster, a D.C. swamp dweller who only uses his district as a launch platform to get him back in the Power gang.

Time for someone who represents Arizona to replace him. He can always retire to Reston or Arlington, someplace he actually identifies with.

She had better be prepared to be shredded. McCain is nasty vicious against conservatives. I hope she can unseat that Democrat in an R jersey.
