Lawmakers gasp when black Dem Rep accuses colleagues 18-month-old of being racist
Proving that the race card has no bounds a Democrat Indiana lawmaker has accused an 18-month-old of being a racist. While debating the controversial Religious Freedom Bill recently signed into law by Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, Rep. Vanessa Summers said the toddler, who is the son of her colleague Republican Judson McMillin was afraid of her because shes black. He looked at me like I was a monster and turned around and cried, she said. And I told him you need to introduce your child to some people that are dark-skinned so he will not be scared. Now anyone whos ever met a baby knows they sometimes cry when they meet strangers, or Santa Claus, or the Easter Bunny or because, you know, theyre babies and they just cry sometimes.
But not in the mind of Summers. In her mind this baby was a racist who could only have cried in response to her black skin. I told Jud McMillin I love his son, but hes scared of me because of my color. Its hard, she said to the sound of gasps from her colleagues who likely couldnt fathom a dumber statement being made by an elected official. Her colleagues seemed to groan at the insanity of her claim, according to the Indianapolis Star. Its true, Summers insisted. McMillin took the high road in response to the claims. Its just incredibly unfortunate. Youd like to think that we would have professional discussion on the House floor and certainly be able to avoid having 18-month-olds in the discussion, McMillin told the Star.

Boo! There’s a white racist under your bed.
I loved bald people. Had a bald uncle who I really liked when I was a small child. Never saw much of him after moving, but we'd chat on the phone every now and then.
My 18 month old granddaughter is terrified of people in hats. Really, she is.
I thought he was the joker, not the ace.
LOL! Yes, now that you mention it, she does seem to be using the same hairstylist as Medusa.
My parents kept him away after that, but he still wanted to attack me whenever I went there. Apparently I was the only one he did that to, LOL!
Yeah, here come the rooster

No, no, no you know he ain’t gonna die

Or tequila.
The same people that have told everyone whether it was Chelsea Clinton or Sasha & Maliah that kids are off limits. Of course that didn’t apply to the Jenna & Barb and now doesn’t apply to 18 month olds of Republican Law makers.
Maybe she’s on to us; did somebody tell her how when we beat our children to discipline them that we put on blackface to do it?
The child probably thought that witch was going to eat him!
Im frightened!!!! what the hell is that?
She looks like a Ghoulie.
Since darker colors absorb light and lighter colors reflect light, I assumed our dog had a difficult time seeing features of some people (and other dogs) and it caused him some anxiety. Our other dogs never seem to mind.
If a little black kid responded to my presence that way, I’d just smile and say “It’s OK to be cautious around strangers, little one”.
If that’s Ms Summers, I’m pretty sure it isn’t her color that made the kid cry.
I guess you could say that I was a strange child:) When I was very young, my Father’s friend visited us. He had recently shaved his head. When I saw him, I ran to the bathroom and hid until he left. Now, I look back on it and laugh.
