Adam Smith, the former medical-device executive whose career was ruined when a video of him berating a Chick-Fil-A employee for the company’s anti-gay stance went viral, said his family is now homeless and living on food stamps.
Mr. Smith, 37, who was the CFO of an Arizona-based catheter manufacturer, toldABC’s “20/20” he was fired after recording an exchange between himself and a drive-thru cashier in June 2012, as the fast-food chain was embroiled in a national controversy over company President Dan Cathy’s public opposition to gay marriage.

No, the people here aren’t sickening. The disconnect is you fail to understand the difference between the evil hatred of righteousness and the righteous hatred of evil.
Yes, that’s a worthy cautionary tale. Doesn’t mean we should be celebrating said destruction, though.

Evil? The guy was an asshole in the video, yes. But that’s all we know about the guy. We don’t know if he is “evil,” or if he made one terrible, terrible mistake. And yet, people are cheering.....
I'm sorry for his wife and kids, but since they have to live with this guy, I'm thinking their surroundings is the least of their worries.

Chick-Fil-A also has standards. All three of my daughters got their first job in high school there. Daughter #1 had all of her references called and checked out. Daughter #2 had some of her references called and checked out. Daughter #3 was just asked how soon she could start and was hired on the spot.
The aura continued when the went to college. Everyone of them got jobs with a very basic interview (including phone only) once they disclosed working for Chick-Fil-A.
There is a reason you seldom see kids with attitudes, tattoos and body piercings working for Chick-Fil-A.

His definition of “homelessness” may be simply not living in a McMansion to which he feels entitled.
You know, it’s his lack of remorse that really gets me. He did a stupid thing. He needs to pick up the pieces and move on. And instead of getting a real job at Home Depot or UPS, he decides to write a book about what he sees as his epic downfall. I personally think he has some sort of chemical imbalance. I pity him and I’m very sorry for his wife and kids.

The company he was working for fired him immediately. Maybe they had seen him for what he was and were looking for an opportunity to get rid of him.
None the less, with his talents, liar, bad character, full of hate for all that is good and decent, it looks as if the Democrat Party could make use of his talents.
