The EFF on Wednesday condemned President Jacob Zuma's alleged "anti-black" remarks made in a speech to the SA Local Government Association.
"The Economic Freedom Fighters condemns the racist anti-black and self-hating remarks of President Zuma that poor South Africans are lazy particularly because whites are not in control," spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi said.
Speaking in Midrand on Tuesday, Zuma related an anecdote of a visit to an unnamed African country during the liberation struggle.
"I got there and people were working very slowly, they were not in a rush, and I asked the comrade who was taking me, 'What's happening?'
"He said people don't work fast, people say they are free. The white man has left, they are now free."
Zuma reportedly said he wished he was a dictator so that he could stop some services, such as low-cost housing to the poor, believing that these perpetuated laziness, as people became reliant on government.
Ndlozi said if people had quality jobs, they would not need low-cost housing.
"Zuma's government demonstrated its commitment to private capital by only raising taxes on the poor and middle class, by increasing personal income tax, fuel levy and electricity levy but left corporate tax untouched," he said.
"Zuma's comments that blacks work slow and are lazy because they do not work for whites reflects an anti-black and racist mentality that is consistent with dictatorial attitudes."

To qualify for a "Quality Job", you have to be a Quality Prospect. Which means you have to have Quality Skills, which usually requires a Quality Education, which usually requires that you put forth Quality Effort.
But these people are accused of being lazy and unproductive. They simply need Quality Jobs, as a solution.
OK. I think I got it.
If someone would simply give them Quality Diplomas, they could get Quality Jobs.

I have an African co-worker who is always butting heads with “African American” workers; he fled Liberia when the “Amero-Liberians” (descended from freed American slaves) were being massacred by the “Afro-Liberians” (whose descendants had never left Africa) during the civil war in the early 1990s. The former had run the country and businesses, while the latter griped about economic disparity; he is disgusted when he sees “Afro-Liberian” traits in his “African-American” co-workers.

When I was in college, I was friends with an exchange student from Ethiopia. There were also a lot of inner-city black kids on basketball scholarships who wandered around acting like street thugs (which they were). One day after a run-in with a couple of the thugs, my friend asked me “Why you let n*****s act like that here? I may be black, but I ain’t no n****r.”
I can’t actually see it as a racist remark. Zuma is using ‘a joke’ to defend his regime in an obvious communist way.
It is clear that the economy has fallen apart but hey, economy is just a collateral damage! You guys are poor, drunk and stupid (while I am filthy rich) but it is nothing but a little cost for being free from evil whitey influence. That is basically his message to the masses.
Yes, they are worlds apart; besides the physical fear of violence, Africans are disgusted at the opportunities squandered by American blacks (in terms of what is made available to them).
