Despite being vehemently opposed to Obamacare, Ted Cruz is signing up for insurance under President Obama’s health care law.

The Texas Republican Senator and newly-announced presidential candidate, known for his staunch opposition to the Affordable Care Act, told CNN on Tuesday that he will be joining the millions of Americans enrolled in insurance under the law.

CNN already spinning it as hypocrisy .. as if he wanted to sign up to get the goodies while trashing it

As a candidate with now SS protection, it will be great fun for him to find new docs *in his new network* who will allow 2-3 armed suits into the waiting and exam rooms with him, his wife or kids on their doc visits.

This is going to be funny all around when he gets anecdotal.

I’m sure he is for nullification by the states. He also knows this: the best way to get rid of a bad law is to fully enforce it. And he knows he’s going to get credibility on this issue by doing this.

He’s not getting Obama Care for health insurance, he’s getting it for issue insurance.

“I’m wondering if this is some sort of test of the Obamacare Snooping System. Maybe Mr. Cruz wants to see if...”

Something in his medical background gets released to the media, via the Obamunist Propaganda system, like Daily Kos.

Due to HIPPA, anyone releasing said information would be subject to SERIOUS FELONY PRISON TIME.

You seem to know more about me than I do. Since when was I worried about Walker or thought he was the cat’s meow? I hardly know anything about the guy.

You’re not getting me at all and I don’t appreciate the uncalled for attack and presumptions you know nothing about.

Maybe we should just leave it at that, but I’ll try again.

What I am saying is sincere and if Cruz is the best man I hope he wins. I never said Cruz thought he was some kind of savior. But a lot of people around here think he or someone else, whoever their guy is, will somehow save us all. Our fix isn’t going to come like that. We’re too far along.

Again, it Cruz is the guy, great I hope he wins. Reagan was the guy too and he brought about some great stuff, but fundamentally our unconstitutional federal government remained intact. Reagan couldn’t fix that. I don’t know if anyone can, but I think the states and the people need to try.

Maybe in his position, he would have to try to get it repealed if he became POTUS. Don’t know how he would do that because he would be the executor, not the lawmaker.

Maybe that’s what he needs to do in his position. But the states have another route to take - reject and nullify Obamacare and other unconstitutional federal acts.

Cruz could be a leader by....

Ted Cruz is already one of the most gifted, most natural leaders we've seen in a generation.

It's something he was obviously born with, and will continue to demonstrate, with, or without guidance from anyone.

Yes, but the Senate care is still a version of ObamaCare, iirc.

Isn’t it the law that now you MUST have health care? He doesn’t have any choice, I don’t think, if his wife no longer has legally sufficient coverage.

I don’t think it’s possible any more to just go out and buy your own insurance policy from an insurance company.

If I’m all wet on this, then someone please set me straight.

Look, if Cruz is the best guy, I hope he wins. My comment isn't about Cruz not being the best man for the job. He may very well be. My comments are about this particular tactic. Is it OK to disagree with that? Do we all have to bow down and blindly follow whoever our favorite candidate is, asking no questions? Not questioning politicians before or after they're in office is one way we've got ourselves into this mess.

He can counter lib claims by saying “I’m ON Obamacare. ARE YOU?????

If Obamacare is unconstitutional, which it surely is, it's hard to imagine that bragging about acquiescing to it is a good thing and then denouncing those who are not on it as a bad thing.

Look I agree with Rush Limbaugh that conservatives are already bashing Cruz because "conservatives" have a problem with needing somebody "perfect." That's not what I'm doing here. I'm questioning a tactic, not dissing him as the best candidate.

This is another shrewd move by Senator Cruz.
He can get a lot of great laugh lines telling Americans about his experience with Obamacare.

‘So I signed up for Obamacare. Mr. Obama said if I wanted to keep my Doctor, I could keep my Doctor....Wrong again, Mr. Obama.
Mr. Obama said everyone signing up would get $2,500. I'm still waiting Mr. Obama, just like millions of my fellow Americans. Hey, I'm running for President and I need the money.

Well God bless him. I meant he could lead the charge in rejecting Obamacare as one of many unconstitutional federal laws.

“He’ll have standing to have it tossed out.”

Exactly. I’m sure he or his staff are aware of the medical sharing ministries. So he could avoid it completely if he chose to.

OK and where does that leave the rest of us who loathe and despise Obamacare and have absolutely no intention of acquiescing to it, IRS penalties notwithstanding?

We are in the right the feds are in the wrong because Obamacare is an unconstitutional federal act. Where does that leave the effort for states to reject and nullify Obmamcare and other unconstitutional federal acts?

Thanks for clarifying your comment. I suppose it came off as slightly antagonistic to some of us.
