Carlos Montoya's birth certificate shows he was born in Los Angeles in 1977. But when he tried to come back to the U.S. from Mexico on March 1, he says border agents deported him. "I showed them everything," he said, admitting he struggles with English. "And they took everything away from me." Lawsuit: LA Teacher Used N-Word, Racist Stereotypes Montoya, who showed his birth certificate to NBC4, says he spent the last year in Mexico undergoing treatment for epilepsy but had been traveling back and forth to Mexico for treatment every six months before then. He says he always carried his birth certificate, social security card, and California ID card with him and had no problems. But he says when he scanned his fingerprints this time, something very different came up on the border patrols screen. Southern California Images in the News[LA GALLERY UPDATED 3-22] Southern California Images in the News Attorney Luis Carrillo who now represents Montoya, explained. "What pops up on the screen is a photo of another individual and they turn the screen and they show him," Carillo said. "And Carlos says, 'Thats an impostor, yo soy Carlos Montoya, and they say, 'No, youre the impostor.' And he says, 'No, Im Carlos Montoya." Home Computer Accessory Vulnerable to Hackers The Chief Customs and Border Patrol Office and Public Affairs Liaison in San Diego, Angelica De Cima provided this statement to NBC4: While we are not at liberty to discuss an individuals processing due to the Privacy Act, we can provide general information about document requirements for U.S. citizens. As part of the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI), U.S. citizens entering the United States at sea or land ports of entry have been required to present a WHTI-compliant document such as a valid passport, U.S. passport card, Trusted Traveler Program card or an Enhanced Drivers License since June 2009. For more information about documents required to enter the U.S. please click on (this) link."
Montoya couldnt provide anything else, admitting he did not have a passport, so he said after a four-hour interrogation and two nights in a jail cell, he felt forced to do whatever the border agent told him.
He claims he was coerced to come up with a fake name he says he chose Jose Francisco Garcia-Garcia and to sign the paperwork that would deport him back to Mexico. Among the questions he says he was forced to answer falsely that he was born in Mexico and that he had never been to the United States.
Carrillo is asking the U.S. Inspector General to investigate the case, claiming coercion, incompetence and even corruption. All the while, Montoya remains in Nayarit, Mexico, hoping to come back home to Compton, California.
its good for returning from Mexico
It’s obviously cost. If he’s paying for his own medical care he can get treatment for less than half the price of a California doctor. It’s not even unusual. I’ve known doctors and dentists that had offices on both sides of the border. They had different costs depending on where you visited them. God help you if you ever had to sue over a medical screw up.
The passport card is only good for travel to Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean islands (Maybe only the Bahamas). My wife and son are getting them for a missions trip to Mexico this summer.
But this says he was returning from being in Mexico for a year for "treatment".
So, that’s what happened to Joe Biden.
No worries, Jose....just sneak back over for all of the freebies.
You and I do but "immigrants" whether "documented" or "undocumented" don't need passports, they don't need to use their own IDs, they can use yours, they don't need to be law abiding citizens, they don't need to pay for college, doctors, hospital bills, public education, housing, food, clothing. driver's licenses.......you add the rest!!!
The very first thing I thought of after reading the headline.
I think it was the part where he said “You killed my father. Prepare to die!” that got him in trouble.
“Deport those who cannot or will not speak English, claiming to have been here for more than 25 years!!”
Most of the race baiters cannot speak English- or I cannot understand English - can we send them back whence they came
If he really wants to get back into the country he needs to do this!

Took a walk to the corner store
Just to buy a loaf of bread and a box of s`mores
Up pulled a guy in a yellow van
Shiny gold badge flashing in his hand
He said, alright all you mojados down here
I want you all to hit the floor
I got one thing to ask you and nothing more
So answer in English, if you can
Where were ya born, man
Huh? Where was I born?
That`s right, I said
Where were ya born?
Hey, are you one of those dudes who do horoscopes, man
Hey, I`m a Cancer with a bad moon rising
Look here el fago, watch my lips
Where were ya born?
I was BORN IN EAST L.A.
Man, I was BORN IN EAST L.A.
Oh yeah, you were BORN IN EAST L.A.
Let`s see your green card
Huh? Green card?
I`m from East LA
Alright, then who`s President of the United States
Oh, that`s easy, man
That guy that used to be on Death Valley Days, John Wayne
Alright, let`s go, come on
Next thing I know, I`m in a foreign land
People talkin so fast, I couldn`t understand
There was nobody there to lend a helping hand
I was cold, it was dark where is a burger stand
I want to go back to East LA
I wish I was back in East LA
I don`t belong here in downtown T.J.
Cause I was born in East LA, ole
I crawled under barbed wire, swam across a stream
Rode in six different trucks packed like a sardine
Walked all day in the burning sun
Now I know what it`s like to be born to run
Up ahead was the promised land
Shining like a star just beyond my hand
All I could see was a golden door
I looked up, a sign said five billion sold
And I was back in East LA
Yes, I was back in East LA
You know I`m never gonna stray
Cause I was born in East LA, oh LA
Passport card is the size of a license. It can be used for land and seaport crossings only, not for air travel.
The interesting thing is that he is claiming they took his prints and then showed him a picture of another person. Something in this story doesn't add up.
I am guessing the other guy using that birth certificate messed things up for this Carlos Montoya.
Question is didn’t he need a passport to enter Mexico?
Where did you learn this?
The constitution says that anyone born in the US is a citizen. The legal status of their parents is not mentioned. If he was born in the US he is a citizen.
Mr C had better be careful.
