The World Health Organisation’s cancer agency has declared that one of the UK’s most widely used weedkillers is “probably carcinogenic to humans”.
Amateur gardeners and professional farmers have been urged to “think very carefully” about using the popular herbicide Roundup, which contains glyphosate.
A summary of the International Agency for Research on Cancer's (IARC) report, published in The Lancet Oncology, said that the herbicide had been detected “in air during spraying, in water, and in food”.It had also been detected “in the blood and urine of agricultural workers, indicating absorption”.

Organic gardeners regularly use Bt spray to kill the bugs. Yes, the same Bt gene that is used in GMO corn.

1. The are not required to buy the ‘new’ seeds. Both GMO and hybrid seeds are available.
2. Seed prices are controlled in India. GMO seeds are about 2x the price of hybrid seeds.
3. The farmers have seen a boon in profits by switching to GMO seeds.

I don't think all their produce is organic though. At least not here in AZ. Much of it might be local though.
Yeah, Shiva is the source of the stores of Monsanto being the cause of the farmer's suicides. More less biased sources I have found concede they can't 100% blame it on Monsanto and much of it is because of IMF/gov't policies.
Though, honestly, you strike me as sounding very similar to the global warming crowd. "The science is settled, no more questions".
I half expect you to tell me glyphosate is a promising cure for cancer, baldness and male impotance. (:
