For years, the U.S. military has worked closely with Yemens government to go after AQAP, together carrying out numerous attacks like the 2011 drone strike that killed prominent al Qaeda figure Anwar al-Awlaki. And U.S. President Barack Obama has hailed this cooperation as a pillar in his anti-terrorism campaign.
Yemen has never been a perfect democracy or a island of stability, Obama said in January, promoting the policy of partnering and intelligence-sharing with that local government as the best approach in a bad situation.
The alternative would be for us to play whack-a-mole every time there is a terrorist actor inside of any given country, the President said.

Well gee whiz, why don’t we publish the flight plan also? Obama is doing his best to wipe out our SpecOps guys.
You side with Obama on what he is doing to our military?
Is that more because you side with Obama, or with Putin, or a little of both?
Special ops don’t run........unless they have a coward for CIC!
Handing over to Iran ?
yeah but obammy touted the place as one of his successes.
Oh yeah, the mookabooker can’t speak without LYING.
Iran already has the nukes and the ability to use them.
The stage is being set for Iran to attacks Israel, Saudi Arabia, and the EU.
All these negotiations talks is nothing to buy concession from the US a d a dog and pony show.
The deal has already been signed and is a farce, the Iranians got a sweetheart of a deal from the US.
Used car salesmanship at it’s finest.
Neville Chamberlain : PEACE IN OUR TIME ! YIP’eeeee !
Another glorious tail-between-the-legs retreat...
No....I side with the budget cutters in Congress.
Its the neo-cons and their ilk who constantly cut deals with the Democrats to raise the budget.
Go figure.
You side with Obama, Putin, the democrats and the American left, you want to keep reducing our ability to fight.
Go figure. Is this about wanting America weak in general, or just to help your man Putin?
They're also quite willing to offer the Dims quid pro quo increases in social spending in return.
This isn't about making America weaker either. The Pentagon already gets hundreds of billions of dollars in the current budget.
Weakening us even more, especially in the face of Russia attacking it’s neighbors and China building a global military, is not the way to fix our budget problems, but it would fix that other problem that you worry about so much, Putin meeting resistance and opposition to his military goals.
Defense spending is 18% of the budget. Cut it to zero and a deficit still exists. Your focus is misguided.

You are obsessed with foreign policy, especially in regards to your support for Russia, yet now you want to pretend that foreign policy doesn’t interest you, you just want a lower budget.
I want a lower budget as well, but I want a stronger larger military, and I want to prevent WWIII in Europe, and the only way to do that, is to be stronger, not weaker like you and Obama are calling for.
Spending caps hold down ALL spending, don't they?.
Remove the spending cap for defense and you open the door to spending increases across the board.
That's what the Democrats are counting on and their spending priorities are four time greater than yours. (ie: the other 82% of the pie).
Ok..explain how increasing spending for Defense lowers the budget.
I'll wait...
Within another year to 18 months I would guess the Muslims will realize the U.S. is no longer a factor and they will be emboldened enough to strike directly at Israel.
Following the road Obama has us on will result in many BAD events to follow.
LOL, you think the only way to lower the budget is to take it from our ability to defend ourselves from Russia and China?
You really cannot think of how to reduce the federal budget while increasing defense?
It's too bad for your credibility, that you happen to be one of our pro-Russia/Putin propagandists and supportive of his invasion.
You and the democrats do agree about defense spending.
Keep trying....
