California Attorney General Kamala Harris, an announced candidate for Barbara Boxer’s Senate seat in 2016, may have to prepare a title and 100-word summary of a ballot initiative titled the “Sodomite Suppression Act,” which calls for anyone participating in homosexual sexual acts to be shot to death by a bullet to the head.

This would last about ten seconds after it was passed, and it won’t pass. A court would block it on the spot.

The only thing that will be accomplished here is that the larger group these idiots can be identified with, will be tarnished beyond belief.

IMO, it’s incredibly ill advised.

If that happens to be the Tea Party of a Conservative organization, the Left will use it to call the group terrorist, racist, or anything else they can think up.

And sadly, people with few tools in the brain department will sign on.

If they changed “sodomite” to “Tea Partier,” “Christian” or “gun-owner” I doubt if they’d have a problem with it.

This sounds like a fake, designed to make trouble for conservatives. Because it has no chance of passing, and probably will never come to a vote, but it will certainly stir up trouble.

Does anyone know who this guy Matt McLaughlin is? Is he a leftie?

I found this article on Wonkette:

http://wonkette.com/577984/secret-agent-lawyer-files-ca-ballot-initiative-to-put-sodomites-to-death

Apparently this guy is completely unknown, has only a mailbox address, and appeared just once before, when he put forward an initiative that the state should buy Bibles for all the kids in school. That sounds like another provocative fake to me, I’m afraid.

The Chronicle reports that Sen. Richard Lara, D-Bell Gardens (Los Angeles County), called for McLaughlin’s disbarment, arguing, “I support freedom of speech, but calling for state-sanctioned execution of a protected class...

Why are gays more protected than anybody else?

A court would block it——Maybe not. There’s precedent.

About 1635 ( I need to look up the exact date) the Planters at New Plymouth hung a fellow named Granger who got caught banging a horse, a couple of cows, and various sheep. After a time he admitted it. The authority was Leviticus. They held court, convicted him, tied him up, made him watch the killing of all his animal girl friends, then killed him. The Planters wasted the dead animals by burying them rather than taking a chance on catching something from the carcasses.

My (12th) Great Grandad William Bradford presided and solved the boy’s sodomite persuasions permanently. The event is well documented in Bradford’s journal and ought to be reviewed from time to time.

The Planters were tough on dirtbagz.

The very model of a FALSE FLAG.

One suspects that Ms. Harris might even be in on the con.

Like the “Westboro Baptists”, I suspect this is a Democrat false flag operation trying falsely to tar Christians with this sort of nuttiness. Can I be paranoid? Sometimes they really are out to get one. Just look at all the fake “hate crimes” that have been perpetrated in recent years.

As much as I despise the fascist homonazis I could never agree with this and no Tea Party member in their right mind would either.

This guy has to be working for the other side to make Christians and the right look bad...

So in other words, you support shooting homosexuals in the head?

Is that your point here, dirtbag?

How can this initiative get on the ballot without a petition and a hell of a lot of signatures? Loophole in the law?

I learned that from a Mazola commercial as a kid.

“How can this initiative get on the ballot without a petition and a hell of a lot of signatures? Loophole in the law?”

If you read the article, you would see that it is referring circulating the petition for signatures.

365,000 seems like a lot sigs to gather, but in a state with 38 million people it is doable but expensive. If the guy has no money, this is going nowhere.

“The Secretary of State’s website notes: “Upon receipt of the fee and request, the Attorney General will prepare a circulating title and summary, which will be the official summary of the initiative measure. (Elections Code section 9004(a).)”

Harris has until May 4 to prepare the initiative and forward it to the Secretary of State. Once the bill reaches the Secretary of State’s office, backers would have 90 days to secure the 365,000 signatures needed to be placed on the 2016 ballot.”
