Earlier today, Judge Salim Joubran decided to ban Prime Minister Netanyahu's recorded message. In a press conference he held, Netanyahu protested the judge's decision: "I will not let anyone silence me".
Judge Salim Joubran, chairman of the Central Elections Committee has decided to ban Prime Minister Netanyahu's recorded message from radio and television broadcast, since it was of a propagandist nature. The PM was quick to slam him for this decision: "The 'Anyone but Bibi' party speaks undisturbed. The only one not allowed to speak his mind is the prime minister from Likud. I will not let anyone silence me." Netanyahu spoke at a press
Earlier today, Yesh Atid filed an appeal to the Central Elections Committee, asking to ban Netanyahu's message due to its propagandist nature, and the committee accepted the appeal and banned the message shortly before Netanyahu's speech.
"Here is what they did not want you to hear," Netanyahu continued. "We are preparing for a determining campaign. The gap between us and the Zionist Union is still wide. Their aim is to replace the Likud government and establish a leftist government with the support of the United (Arab) List," the Prime Minister stated.
Earlier today, Prime Minister Netanyahu posted an unusually harsh message on his Facebook page, expressing his concern over the "masses of Arabs flowing to the polling stations, jeopardizing a right-wing government." Many were quick to attack him for his words. MK Ahmad Tibi (Joint List) stated Netanyahu's words stem from fear of losing his premiership.

I can only image how that would work out here.
I’m not Israeli and have no dog in this fight. It’s their election. That said...
“Judge Salim Joubran, chairman of the Central Elections Committee has decided to ban Prime Minister Netanyahu’s recorded message from radio and television broadcast, since it was of a propagandist nature.”
Isn’t that kinda the whole point of an election speech? This sounds bizarre. I wonder if there is more to this than I am grasping.
God HELP Netanyahu and the conservatives!!! MAY they hold on to power.....
The fact that Israel lets Arab Nazis vote at all — let alone permits an Arab to RUN the elections committee — shows how truly suicidal they are.
And today, their busing in Arabs to vote just like busing Democrats to vote in Chicago.
Well ... YES ... that’s exactly right, and thus why he made the decision to ban it (at least if I understand that law right).
What you’re saying is exactly right ... it IS an ELECTION SPEECH, and since those are banned on Election Day, he banned it.
Now the point is ... the “PRIME MINISTER” can call for a press conference on Election Day for “state business” or other important state matters and that would be legitimate to do.
SO ... exactly like you said ... if it’s PROPAGANDA and not simply “state business” ... it was banned.
You HIT THE NAIL ON THE HEAD ... :-) ...
All the more reason to stay out. Israel is not the 51st state. Meddling in another country’s politics is unseemly at best. And I prefer not to take my lead from Zero.
Israel, when it was first formed in 1948 ... PLEADED with ARABS to NOT LEAVE during the war. Those who did not leave were given full citizenship just like everyone in Israel. Israel did this FROM THE VERY BEGINNING and strongly urged those Arabs to not leave.
We know how the Imam in the White House likes regime change.
And Israel has always been America's ally, Imam Obama sees Israel as the enemy.
“I can only image how that would work out here.”
Obama’s NLRB has rewritten the rules for union elections at private companies, shortening the time required for a vote and not allowing company appeals to be heard until after a vote.
Obama’s FEC declares it can control the internet.
Obama’s EPA uses its regulatory authority to destroy the coal industry.
Obama’s Department of Homeland Security allows millions of illegals into the country, relocates them to specific communities, and gives them government benefits.
Who is to say that the Federal Elections Commission won’t suddenly announce new rules pertaining to the conduct of elections, including determining what is permissible speech?
Those Arabs (or others in Israel) cannot vote unless they have ID and if they are NOT in the right place to vote, their vote will NOT COUNT. They have the ballots in two envelopes, apparently. One identifies the voter, and the other envelope inside is the vote. If your identified envelope doesn’t match up with who is supposed to be there voting in that EXACT PLACE, the vote is discarded.
If someone is bussing people in, it would be bussing those who CAN VOTE ... and this it would be a “get out the vote” move ... which one can do.
I did that very thing with an election campaign in that we would call voters on Election Day and urge them to vote, and see if they needed a ride. If they needed a ride, we would give them that ride. That’s “getting out the vote” ... :-) ...
We WILL be communists, whether we want to or not. They WILL have their way. And we WILL comply.
None of them should have a vote. If they don't like it, there are 22 Arab states they can move to, which incidentally do NOT allow Jews to vote.
Exactly. As I said...suicidal. Ben Gurion and Moshe Dayan were Socialist atheists and did not want a Jewish state, nor did they want the Temple Mount in Jewish hands, lest they cede power to religious authorities.
Israel has made a REALLY BIG DEAL in defending itself against the FALSE ACCUSATIONS that it is an Apartheid State. Apparently you want to UNDO all the defending that Israel has been doing against these false accusations ... :-) ...
“MK Ahmad Tibi (Joint List) stated Netanyahu’s words stem from fear of losing his premiership.”
Somehow, I think he’s much more worried about losing his country. He’s fought for it for a good many years and it must pain him terribly to see liberals trying to bargain it away.
Go back to Daily Kos
It’s people from the Daily Kos who make those kinds of accusations that Israel is an Apartheid State. I continually defend Israel against those accusations, pointing out the arguments that the State of Israel makes in order to fend off these false accusations.
Israel points out that Arabs in Israel do have full citizenship rights, and that an Arab is on the Israeli Supreme Court, and that Arabs have legislators in the Knesset and even that one of the “Miss Israels” was an Arab. These are all evidences of the fact that Israel is NOT an Apartheid State, contrary to the fact that some seem to want to “make Israel an Apartheid State”. The nation and State of Israel is totally against making the country an Apartheid State ... even if you want it to be one.
Yes, but with obamanations people over in Israel using American taxpayers monies to pay off and hire Arab voters who would not vote but for democrats stealing our money, Prime Minister Benjamin Netenyahu would already have won.
Coming election, their will be more illegasls voting than ever and that means America is dead..
