- The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) wants hotels to monitor how much time its guests spend in the shower. The agency is spending $15,000 to create a wireless system that will track how much water a hotel guest uses to get them to modify their behavior.
Hotels consume a significant amount of water in the U.S. and around the world, an EPA grant to the University of Tulsa reads. Most hotels do not monitor individual guest water usage and as a result, millions of gallons of potable water are wasted every year by hotel guests. -

Just take your soap and shampoo down to the hotel pool. Explain you are saving the planet.
“What we have here, is a failure to communicate.”
You hotel users have got to get your heads right about how we want you to behave. Every ounce of hot water that you use means that the hotel corporations have less money to give to the Democrat Party.
“Shakin’ the bush here, Boss.”
Nothing new!
We did the Alaskan Highway trip with camping. Coin operated showers in some of the towns, was a standard event for us.
What I did not care for was the women getting half again the shower time; for the same cost!
I could see charging by weight. The big ones have more to clean, by sex; no way! My son and I were discriminated against!
And don't get me started on the CST scam!
sadly I sense that you could be right!
Easiest way to stop this is to forcel ALL folks to use the same amount of water.
Can you imagine manbearpig Gore or Michael “el blimpo” Moore being limited to a 1.5 gallon max shower?
Or any of our H-wood sub IQ bimbo/bimboys being forced to get rid of their pool?
If we do it, they do it.
Or war.
Pick.
perhaps that water use is why gore always rents multiple suites...
"YOUR PAPER!"
his greatest accomplishment....
“we dont want the EPA to Kick Around Anymore”
Public pools and waterparks are next on the list...
Shampoo your head in the sink to make your peasant allotment of shower water go farther.
Bring along one of those nozzle attachments for the sink that has a shower head on the end. Modify it with 15 feet of hose to reach into the shower.
Those tactics will work until they install video cameras (for the planet).
I am certain water monitors will become a way to add secret cameras to hotel bathrooms for perverts.
They are out of control!
You breathe too much. We have to modify that behavior. —
Just like NASCAR, we’ll install restrictor plates.
I have no idea if your post was just a rage but I am HOWLING!! :)
Next they will mandate all showers only to dispense water a maximum of 10 degrees above freezing, so that we won’t linger in there.
Then they will want to monitor how much we urinate. —
You can then build up a credit toward fresh water at 50% of your personal output.
Why not just put in a coin operated shower as is used in some state parks?
I got 7 1/2 minutes of shower from a quarter 12 years ago at San Clemente State park. I got real good at showering shaving and rinsing off before the water quit, all on one quarter.
I remember when it cost a quarter to watch TV for a few hours in some hotels back in 1956, and a vibrating bed also cost a quarter.
Shame on University of Tulsa for taking this money. Without such whoring there would be no studies.
The very idea of developing a wireless device to monitor shower water consumption.
Some snot nosed kid at UofT pimping for graduate dollars. Probably on a student visa... freeloading off of the taxpayer.
Yeah, start a movement on the steps of EPA.
